Guides duplicate and fly away when grabbed
When I grab a guide (square made by me, not ruler) by the edge and drag it, it duplicates and the double is flying away, kind of like a floater in your eye

The guide problem is known... The team at some point made a hack that still renders ordinary guides, but not the one we can make from objects...
I added you as a voter to that bug report. -
Unfortunately not because I just updated my AI to version 29, and the problem does not persist. Now guides just become invisible when i click and drag them. I sit on a two week old M3 Pro 36 GB on Sequoia. Very weird indeed!

Wow. Tobias, just in case, can you share a test file with this guide in it?
I can’t reproduce this at my machine.
I believe you have 'Real-Time Drawing and Editing' option disabled in Preferences > Performance, am I correct? Because otherwise Ai fails and rendering a guide when dragged (reported here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/39740689)
What are your GPU and OS specs?
