Cannot double-click on a text to switch to the Text tool and activate text editing mode as before
Since yesterday Illustrator (29.1) has virtually become unusable to me and I have no idea what happened. I didn't install any new apps.
I cannot double click on a text to switch to the text tool and activate text editing mode as before. What is going on here???

This behavior just started this morning for me, ver. 30.0. I don't have the Magnet app installed, never have. I can select a text box with the Selection Tool, double click on it, it will switch to the Type Tool, but then when I double click, it will only select the single line of text within the text box. The text has 3 paragraph returns. I have restarted the Mac, and the same behavior remains. Any ideas? Running macOS Tahoe 26.1 on a MacBook Pro 16, 2023.
