Nothing is visible except outlines when selected

You get glimpses of its color when zooming in and out but cannot view the coloration.
How can it be corrected?

    Natalie, does it differ if you toggle the preview mode with View > Preview on CPU?
    Does it happen for all files, including blank new ones?
    Can you share the exact version of the app and spec of you computer on OS, please?
