Traditional Chinese UI Translation Issue Report--"屬性" (Properties / Attributes)
Traditional Chinese UI Translation Issue Report
To Whom It May Concern,
I've encountered a translation issue in the Traditional Chinese interface of Adobe Illustrator, where two different functional panels share the same translated name, "屬性" (Properties / Attributes), which causes confusion for users.
Properties panel:
In Illustrator 2024, this panel was translated as "內容" . However, in Illustrator 2025, its name has been changed to "屬性".
Its function is to dynamically display the most commonly used attributes and control options based on the currently selected object or tool.
Attributes panel:
This panel has consistently been named "屬性" (Attributes).
Its primary function is to control advanced object attributes, such as Overprint settings and showing center points.
Since both panels are now named "屬性," it's difficult for users to distinguish between the Properties panel (for common attributes) and the Attributes panel (for advanced settings).
To avoid this confusion, I kindly request that Adobe consider re-evaluating the Traditional Chinese naming for these two panels.
Thank you for your time and assistance. I hope this issue can be resolved soon to improve the user experience for Traditional Chinese users.

The issue has been fixed in the latest GA 29.7.1 build.
The older “Attributes” panel now shows as “進階屬性"(Advanced Attributes) instead of just “屬性”.

My primary concern revolves around the current situation in Illustrator 2025 where both the Properties panel and the Attributes panel are translated as "屬性" (Properties/Attributes), leading to significant user confusion.
The key functional difference that should be reflected in the translation is this:
The Properties panel dynamically changes its content based on the selected tool or the type of object chosen. Its items are fluid and context-sensitive.
The Attributes panel, in contrast, has a relatively fixed set of items, primarily dealing with advanced settings like Overprint.
Considering this crucial distinction, I strongly suggest translating the Properties panel with a name that highlights its dynamic and real-time nature. Here are my top suggestions for the Properties panel's Traditional Chinese translation:
「即時屬性」 (Real-time Properties): This name clearly conveys that the panel's content updates instantly based on user interaction or selection.
「動態屬性」 (Dynamic Properties): This option also effectively emphasizes the panel's ability to adapt its display according to the current context.
For the Attributes panel, I recommend keeping its current translation, 「屬性面板」 (Attributes Panel), as this would then become unique once the Properties panel is renamed. Alternatively, if you prefer even greater distinction, 「進階屬性」 (Advanced Properties/Attributes) could also be considered for the Attributes panel.I believe that adopting a translation like 「即時屬性」 or 「動態屬性」 for the Properties panel will significantly enhance clarity and user experience for Traditional Chinese users by accurately reflecting its unique behavior and differentiating it from the Attributes panel.
Thank you for your dedication to improving Illustrator. I look forward to seeing these enhancements in future updates.
