File "..." was generated by a newer version of Illustrator. Would you like to import this file? Some data loss may occur.
After updating Adobe Illustrator, I have encountered a serious issue when working with PDF files that contain multiple artboards. When opening such files, I receive the following error message:
File "..." was generated by a newer version of Illustrator. Would you like to import this file? Some data loss may occur.
If I choose to import, only one artboard remains in the opened file, and all other artboards disappear. This happens with all files saved with multiple artboards, resulting in significant data loss.
Please assist in resolving this issue, as it greatly impacts my work and causes loss of important data.
Thank you for your attention. I look forward to your response.

Privet!
It seems that for some reason Ai can’'t read the native Ai’s (PGF) portion of the file and has to fall back to the PDF part, and fails to import it fully. Can you remember what settings did you use to export these PDFs? Specifically, are you sure you had 'Preserve Illustrator Editing Capabilities' enabled? Are these yours or someone else’s?
Can you share one of the files that fail to get imported with the team? Add one here in comments or send via sharewithai@adobe.com (in this case mention the link to this report to track it: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50083695)You say it happens only with those PDFs that had multiple artboards... does it mean that you actually have some files with only one artboard that gets imported back fine, or is it a guess only?
