Colour Picker Gesture like in Procreate
Please make a Colour Picker Finger Gesture like in Procreate! At the moment its way too hard and fiddly to pick colours from the artboard.
- Press and hold down with your finger where you want to pull the color from.
- You'll see a circle take on your color.
- Wait for the color to appear in the color selection tool in the top-right corner of the screen.
- You now have access to the selected color.

Pan and Rotate with trackpad
Need Zoom, Plus Pan & Rotate with trackpad and Magic Keyboard like how it works on Mac/PC. This would make things even more awesome. It would be even better if you guys do a custom cursor icon like on the desktop as well or like how Vectornator does it with the tool icon as the cursor when using the trackpad and keyboard.

Transform sides only
Able to transform shape sides only from center (alt + drag sides which is on the desktop version)

Align dashes to corners and fit length
On desktop, there is an option to adjust the dash/gap corners so that it fits the stroke/shape. There is no option for this on the iPad, and I would really like to see this asap so I can make dotted boxes.

Locate and find selected paths in layers panel
When the artwork becomes more complex, it’s almost impossible to locate selected object in layers panel, except doing it manually. You should mark the layer, group, clip group, that contains the selected object. Just like you did with a little square on the right side of the layers panel on desktop version.

Gradient Mesh
Once after you add the necessary basic tools I would like to see that included,because it will be a big difference maker with your competitor affinity + it’s the reason why I want to use illustrator on my iPad and not buy a new PC

Swatches panel / fill color
Easier way to select color and fill in color is needed! Having to select on the color tool every time and then from there select the eye dropper tool every time you need to change a color is way to much work. Make the swatch panel always visible on screen. There should be a shortcut or something where you can hold down to fill with selected color or a live paint bucket tool. Also, making a color palette in swatches and being able to save it so you can use it in other files.

I can’t copy/paste stuff between Illustrator on my iPad and on my Mac and it’s a bit annoying… I also can’t really paste stuff in Illustrator on the iPad from the internet

Glyphs and ligatures for text (in OTF)
Not being able to access the glyphs and ligatures on an OTF font has meant that I cannot use AI on my iPad. And since that’s my primary tool for design these days, I’ve stopped using Adobe completely. I liked AI on my laptop and I need the iPad to have that full functionality before I can use it again.

PDF export options (e.g crop marks and bleed)
This is one feature that would really help my workflow! Also the option to select different PDF formats e.g 2001 etc would help. Affinity offers this but in a really confusing format.

Change Layer Colours
