An error occurred while saving the comment Jason, do you test it on a curves spine like this one?
If yes — then it always behaved like this.
There is a feature request to allow us to control distribution separately form the curvature of a spine — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/32403880
Do you mind me merging this to it?Also, there is a workaround I can offer for now — add more points on a path. The more points you add, the more uniform the distribution becomes.

The team is investigating this.
An error occurred while saving the comment Yes, I confirm this.
Its’ not only white ones that get the edge, it’s all objects (including text, symbols, raster art...)
Sometimes these edges are cyan, sometimes black... it feels like it depends on the last selection, but I didn’t bother much to dig deeper.
It doesn’t depend on any of the snapping options, on rulers enabled, on transparency grid, but stops when CPU Preview gets enabled... specifically, disabling only Real-Time Drawing and Editing makes it stop.
I think it’s a bug. Thanks for reporting it! -

An error occurred while saving the comment Hm... When I try to enable 'Auto-collapse Iconic Panels' in Preferences > User Interface, in Illustrator 30.1, on Windows 10, and then try to select a font in the Character panel, it stays opened. The only way to make the panel collapse when I browse the fonts is to click the title of the main window — but then font explorer dropdown still stays.
Can you please record the behavior you are seeing at your side? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Kenneth, here’s a test file (with two artboards named 'black' and 'magenta') and my settings used.
Notice I have the Multiple Files checked. Without it it indeed produces a single PDF file, but that’s expected.
Can you check if this is what’s happening, please? -

An error occurred while saving the comment I see. There is a similar problem that mentions a dual-monitor setup (http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50782655)... well, it’s something else then :(
As a workaround, please open Preferences and enable the 'Use legacy "File New" interface' option — it should skip the modern dialog and fall back to the advanced legacy one.An error occurred while saving the comment I meant actual monitors, yes. But if you do have virtual ones — do you?
An error occurred while saving the comment Do you have one or several monitors?

An error occurred while saving the comment You made two similar requests: one for the desktop version (this one, and it allows it, in a way I described), and the one for iPad (this one — http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/931888/suggestions/50798900 — and there is no solution on iPad, other than making a duplicate of your path).
An error occurred while saving the comment Bogdan, Illustrator allows to create these today, using Appearance panel.
Take a look at the test file attached, please.
The path on the left is a more simple method, but it’d work only for the uniform stroke weight.
The second path is put into a group, and it allows to include other objects into it and still get the uniform red contour.
Both methods have their use and are easy to use when saved into Graphic Styles.
Does this cover your need? Please reply. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Jim, I bet you refer to this report you made: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/46166314
A similar report was addressed: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/47566373 —can you check if it is truly fixed? An error occurred while saving the comment Interesting... Are Document Raster Settings actually the same? I know it’s about different thing, but I have to ask, just in case. Can you provide screenshots?

An error occurred while saving the comment Three more examples to show the difference between Ai, Ps, and InD.
Only Photoshop, with its groups of layers (compared to objects in layers in Ai and InD) allows to move both in and out, despite the hidden / locked state of a layer / group.
NOT allowing it serves no practical purpose. I mean, what it ALLOWS me to do by forbidding it? It doesn’t offer me to unlock or show (like it does when I try to paste in a hidden layer) even.
I KNOW these are locked and hidden — on canvas! But I intend to reorder in the PANEL. Only Photoshop does it right. An error occurred while saving the comment A shorter demo

An error occurred while saving the comment Indeed!
While it’s possible to move an item out of a locked or hidden group, locking or hiding a top-level layer would prevent us from doing the same!More of it — if have a layer locked e.g, and click a pale lock icon next to a child item, the lock becomes solid, as if I am overriding the 'the parent is locked' status... but it can’t be toggled back, and unlocking the top layer would drop the state! This should be reported separately, I think, will do.

An error occurred while saving the comment This is odd... Please package the test document (or the original one, if you can’t reproduce it in a newly created one) with the fonts included (if the license allows this) and either share the archive here in a comment (if you are OK with it being public), or send directly to sharewithai@adobe.com (in this case please mention the link to this particular report, http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/50801117 —for tracking it back here).

An error occurred while saving the comment Ezequiel, please share the test code you tried. Either paste it into a comment as text, or share the .js file (but rename it into something like .txt, to workaround UserVoice’s restrictions for scripts in attachments).
Yes, these get lost for me as well when I try.
The shadows get displayed fine when viewed in a browser or in Inkscape.
Affinity fails to import shadows too.
