An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Can you share a practical case for this?
Actually it’s doable, one just has to place the origin point into the center (or any other position) of the segment, and rotate away... the only problem is that Ai doesn’t know anything about midpoints when dealing with smart guides. Would midpoints solve this for you?

An error occurred while saving the comment Oh. For some reason I thought of a drive as a drive, since you mentioned NAS, and not as a cloud syncing solution... but you said it then doesn’t get synced with on your LOCAL NAS, didn’t you? So it it is a network share, or I (being a Windows user), don’t understand something about MacOS?
An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, Ai is just not playing nice with removable drives and networks in general.
According to the manual (https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/kb/illustrator-support-networks-removable-media.html), 'Illustrator does not support network or removable drives as scratch disks, or folders of file sync services such as Dropbox, Google Drive, and icloud’Also mentioned in several other places:
https://community.adobe.com/t5/illustrator-discussions/ilustrator-file-will-not-save-on-nas/m-p/14041745
https://www.reddit.com/r/synology/comments/som6f1/synology_not_playing_nice_with_mac_chrome_and/
The last one also suggests tweaking permissions on MacOS, please consider trying it. Would be nice to hear back from you on the result. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Well, I think it can be merged with a general Allow to Add Custom Tool to the CTB: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/49235456
Would you mind me merging your request into it?As for now, I’d advise just hitting the 'I' key on the keyboard. Unless you are in the text (or edit a freeform gradient —that’s why they had to put it as a button in the Gradient panel), it will always pick the Eyedropper tool. Not forcing you, though, habits differ, it’s just my left hand is always on keys.
An error occurred while saving the comment Alan, I suppose by 'bottom tool bar' you mean the recently added Contextual Task Bar, correct?

An error occurred while saving the comment Hmm, I have no problem making a dimension of the angle between two open intersecting paths... Here, watch the GIF I recorded (I use LICEcap for these). Does it behave differently for you? Can you share how exactly?

The team investigates it, thanks
AdminEgor Chistyakov (Admin, Adobe Illustrator) supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Rhiannon, when saving a document in Beta, there should be a new option, 'Embed compatible font glyphs' in the Illustrator Options dialog, that forces Ai to 'bake' previews for the fonts used, so a file can be opened without having the fonts installed (but not edited). It feels like something went wrong with it. Can you try to disable it while saving and see if it changes anything?
Also — please share the details about the font used. If possible, share the test file here in comments. If you are not comfortable with sharing it publicly, please send it to sharewithai@adobe.com, and put the link to this report, so the team can track it back here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/49227515
The team is actively testing it, so this would help to fix it before it goes into the main release. Thank you! -

An error occurred while saving the comment Jan, I test it and I see Ai can snap to the points of the objects within a symbol just fine.
What do you mean then? Perhaps the markers/handles of a the bounding box? Can you clarify please? -

An error occurred while saving the comment How do you expect to get these laid out in the resulting .ai document? What would happen to the objects that are not included in any artboard but are just outside of any, on the canvas? What about those that span across several artboards?

An error occurred while saving the comment Yep, the fact Ai can’t place files in it’s own format is just stupid.
It’s like we were not able to use smarts in Photoshop (although I believe it is based on having a flatten copy displayed instead of the full stack) or pre-compose in AfterEffects. -

Resizing from centre - Pen tablet sticking
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/44502621An error occurred while saving the comment I recall seeing at least one similar message, but can’t find a report on this and not sure if I had it myself.
Can you share the details about your tablet and the driver version, just in case? -

An error occurred while saving the comment @rcraighead, I can’t reproduce this problem with the latest release. Scale tool stays picked for me when I release the mouse key while using ~.
Can you please confirm or refute this? -

Please accept my sincere apology for the inconvenience. Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.
An error occurred while saving the comment Jan, do you still have this problem? It seems like it does no happen anymore, at least for me with the latest releases.
Can you please check this? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Strangely, the bounding box (that I believe is meant) stays shown when anything else other than a live shape is selected, but vanishes for live rectangles, ellipses... A guide would still snap to a center point these have enabled by default, and does not really snap to the middle markers of the bounding box (at least now and for me).... Older versions (pre-CC) never snapped to these as well.

An error occurred while saving the comment I found it tool late, but I can’t understand what was the 'new Scale tool' we got in 2020... The Scale tool never changed since then... perhaps you mean the bounding box? or the smart guides affecting the scale?
If you still have the issue (and your laptop is still safe!) — can you share a video of it, just to clarify it and share the pain? :( -

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 25.1 which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!

So, if hat’s what you wanted, does it get this sorted out? Or is there something else you meant? :)
