It's great to finally have this implemented, but since Illustrator only allows tool shortcuts to be single letter shortcuts, we're forced to add a Function Key or Cmd Key to the mix (instead of the elegant and practical "W" we're all familiar with in InDesign). Anyway, I guess I can live with that. Already mapped the F1 key to Trim View, since I almost never use the built in Help anyway.
If only the option to "Show Hidden Characters" were also disabled when Trim View was on (just as it works in InDesign), that would be perfect!Eduardo Moura supported this idea ·

Please share your thoughts on the following:
1. Would it make sense to have a separate desktop app, just to create charts, and bring them inside Illustrator or InDesign? It may not be on cloud.
2. Or would you rather have us work on building it within Illustrator?
Thanks

Hi Everyone,
Thanks for the feedback. The color yellow has been removed altogether as a layer color, and has been replaced by Magenta color for Layer 5. This functionality is available in our latest release build – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now.

You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback.

This is done in one of the latest releases.
Now the button in Control panel (and in Links panel menu) says ‘Edit in Photoshop’. You also can change it back to system defaults in Preferences > File Handling section.InDesign has more options, that is true, so please comment back if you need a larger list — but please give a solid justification why :)

I am happy to share that we have shipped the Bullets and Numbering in 26.4 update for Illustrator. It’s a phased rollout so you may not see 26.4 update yet but it would rollout globally in a day or two.
You can read about this and other new features here ( https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2022-5.html ).

Now available in the latest release, version 26 (2022) and higher. Please let the team know in the comments if you have any problems with that.

If we turn on "Show Hidden Characters" while working with text, the display option "Trim View" should automatically turn it off while active.
As I see it, this view should emulate the final output, as is in InDesign. Therefore, hiding these characters is essential to previewing the final result appropriately.
For the same reason, it would be very useful to have an option to toggle Overprint Preview on automatically while Trim View is active.
And please, please let it have a single letter shortcut (as it is today, it requires a Function or Ctrl key).
