The fix has been pushed into the latest 30.3 general release. Please update, check, and comment back if it still happens.

This is still not fixed! Crazy that it still mirrors! Pre 2025 this worked just fine.

Adobe - please go back to the original behavior. This one just adds unnecessary steps having to either copy multiples one at a time, or copy multiples and then having to re-arrange it.

A big issue is that if you select several artboards at once to duplicate them and they were in order
A
B
C
they used to duplicate as
copy of A
copy of B
copy of CSince the latest Illustrator update they mirror instead, as
copy of C
copy of B
copy of AMakes batch duplication worthless and I now have to duplicate each one separately OR do the set and then move them around manually.

No longer a problem, the chosen color mode stays when PDFs get exported. Please comment back if this is still a problem for you with a latest release.

This functionality has been released with v30.0. You can also double-click the name and rename the artboard directly on canvas.
You can disable this in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display, with Show Artboard name on canvas option.

Illustrator now allows to Paste on Selected Artboards.
1. Copy the artwork from the source artboard.
2. Open the Artboards panel or select the Artboard tool. Then, select the target artboards.
3. Go to the Edit menu and select a paste option (Paste in Place, Paste in Front, or Paste in Back) to position the artwork as needed. Alternatively, right-click the selected Artboard to access the paste options directly.
Shortcuts are also available.

Users have an option in Illustrator CC (22.1).
Preferences>Selection & Anchor Display>"Move Locked and Hidden Artwork with Artboard"
Please email us on sharewithai@adobe.com if it still does not solve your problem.

6 votesThere is a command in the Layers panel’s menu, called Delete Hidden Layers... Unfortunately, it deletes not only hidden layers, but also all hidden content. There is a separate request to rename the comment or add another, to distinct two operations: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/43634643-delete-hidden-layers-command-innapropriately-nam Please vote. Also, there is another request to delete unused/empty layers: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/40696027-delete-unused-layers

The first artboard name frequently reverts to Artboard 1 even after specifically naming it. This is a nuisance when exporting artboards and one is missing its name!
