An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew commentedIt's so frustrating that this Adobe STILL hasn't fixed this. It has been a problem for years. If I want text centered at the top of a circle, I have to click on the bottom of the circle, set to centered, then attempt to align the start and end points (which WILL NOT snap to the anchor points) and get it as close to centered as I can. Completely unusable and unacceptable.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew commentedI'm still having this issue. Using 26.2.1 on Windows 10 64-bit. The swatches panel will only show colors OR patterns, but not both at the same time. If I add a pattern, the colors disappear and only shows patterns. If I add a color, patterns disappear and it only shows color. The fill and stroke drop downs on the control bar show all patterns and colors correctly.

The bug is no longer a problem in latest Illustrator releases. If you ever encounter this problem ever again, please comment back.
An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew commentedI've been having this same issue for the last several versions. Document does not have to be a print document or metric based. I work in RGB illustration documents using inches. The only requirement is for the align panel to be collapsed or hidden. The only fix I've found is to move an object while the align panel is showing, then it will update the field to show the units.

An error occurred while saving the comment Matthew commentedIt's now January of 2022 and this has yet to be resolved. It is unacceptable that this has been occurring over the last several versions and continues to be a problem.

Live preview of color is now live in Illustrator 27.1.1, for Color Picker dialog, Color panel, Properties and Control panel, and Appearance panel.
It works in GPU mode only.

Hi Everyone,
This has been completed, and has available since June 2020 release (version 24.2)
Please go to Illustrator preferences > General > and select “Show/Hide Rulers” (refer attached screenshot). After checking this, if you hit ‘Show Rulers (Ctrl/Cmd + R)’, then the rulers will appear in every document (new and old), even after relaunching Illustrator.
Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback.

Still having this issue in 28.2. Setting a reference point to anything other than center returns an undesired result using the rotation option on the transform panel. **This tranform shown in my attachment occurs through using the mouse scroll or keyboard arrows to apply the rotation. Typing in the angle or selecting it from the drop-down gives the desired result the first time. However, it seems that that the shape 'forgets' that it has been rotated and applying an additional rotation gives an undesired result. It seems that each time the rotation angle is change the reference point does not maintain the relation to the shape it was applied to. Instead it is an absolute reference point, not a relative reference point.
