An error occurred while saving the comment All - I am posting the questions asked by Egor earlier in reply to Juan's video.
Do you notice any difference if you disable the 'Show Artboard name on canvas' option in Preferences > Selection & Anchor Display? I noticed a pause in updating these when you zoom out, so maybe it’s this specific function to blame.

An error occurred while saving the comment @grafica - Will it be possible for you to share this recent file with us as well? I am not sure if the file shared earlier would still be the apt one for newer observation. Thanks.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Adzkia - We would need more information on this issue. Are you seeing this with PDF files? Have you ever seen this issue happening when you created a new Ai file (not from content copied from PDF), saved it and reopened it?
An error occurred while saving the comment Hi,
Apologies for you running into this issue.
Can you share more details about the nature of these files?
You mentioned that they are embedded. Did you place these files in Illustrator through any particular route - for example dragging from another application to Illustrator? Or, if you take a screenshot and placed it directly in Illustrator?
Do you run into any crash before seeing this issue or does it happen with normal (successful) save and reopening of files?
Do these images have any embedded color profiles?
Try turning off "GPU Performance" checkbox in Performance section of Preferences and relaunch Illustrator. See if that change helps in such files or not.

The team was able to figure out the problem with the rich tooltips popping under mouse and intends make a fix for it.
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks David and Egor.
@David - are you also pointing to same / similar issue as reported by Egor? So, it is all about slowness (or hover sensitivity) in the tooltips to appear and by that time your mouse has moved to some newer area?
An error occurred while saving the comment @David - What's the Illustrator version at your end?

This has been fixed in the latest version - 30.3.
This fix would not correct the existing damaged files but should not happen on new files saved from newest version. Existing files can be corrected by resaving them in latest version.
Please check at your end and let us know.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Natasha - It looks the files shared by you just have the links but missed the Ai file. Will it be possible for you to share the complete package.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Natasha - we have received the file / package shared by you.
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for the screenshot. If it is possible for you, kindly provide test file, for the team to review. You can send them to sharewithai@adobe.com and mention the link of this user voice thread (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/51014479) in the subject. Thanks.
An error occurred while saving the comment We are not able to see the issue mentioned by you - image file linked within the ai file becomes transparent. Please share a file which is showing the issue at your end.

The fix has been pushed into the latest 30.3 general release. Please update, check, and comment back if it still happens.
An error occurred while saving the comment Hi,
The fix is available (as of now) in Illustrator's latest Beta build. We plan to release it soon in general availability version. You can try the latest Beta build from Illustrator and confirm if the issue get fixed for you or not.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Derek - Thanks for confirming in our direct communication that the issue is fixed for you.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Derek - can you confirm that you were using latest Beta build 30.4.42?
If yes, we would like to know about your NAS setup - is it an SMB or NFS? Any other details would be helpful. -

Seems to work fine in 30.2.1
Please comment back if it misbehaves at your side still.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Deligh2Create - Please note that existing files would not be auto corrected with this fix. But the fix would prevent any future occurrence. So, the best way to check this on 30.2.1 is to correct the files and save it again with version 30.2.1
Let us know if you are still seeing issue after doing this save in or for a new file created in 30.2.1
An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for more details @F J
After going through these details, it looks like the file itself open fine / correct but when the thumbnail is used in another file where it is linked, the issue surfaces for you.
Do you see the thumbnail preview of the file correct in Windows folder on disk?
As of now, I think you are seeing an issue similar to this one reported at https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/50776133-thumbnails-glitching-when-saved
An error occurred while saving the comment @Ken Rice, @F J - Please note that existing files would not be auto corrected with this fix. But the fix would prevent any future occurrence. So, the best way to check this on 30.2.1 is to correct the files and save it again with version 30.2.1
Let us know if you are still seeing issue after doing this or for a new file created in 30.2.1

An error occurred while saving the comment Egor - can you attach a screenshot of the remaining issue? And does that happen only with Perceptual gradients? What about classic gradients?

An error occurred while saving the comment Thanks for detailed reply to earlier queries. This helps to know that save happens successfully. Do you have any antivirus enabled with real-time scanning - it can cause a conflict as soon as a new file gets created? Also, is your save location a cloud sync folder (like OneDrive/Dropbox) or a local folder?
An error occurred while saving the comment Some questions here to understand the issue better
1. After step 3 (as mentioned by you), PDF setting dialog comes in. Do you see that or not?
2. When you click on Windows Start Menu or any other on task bar, is the Save complete in Illustrator or not?
3. Would also like to know if the Save gets completed, is the file saved correctly?
4. Can you also tell me a little more about the Step 4? What's the objective of accessing Window Start Menu or any other operation through task bar while save is going on . -

This got solved with enabling the 'Fade region outside Artboard' back in the Artboard Options dialog.

The problem got resolved by resaving the original file. If this ever happens with new files again — please comment.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Cris - We tried this at our end and we have same observations as Egor - creating a file from scratch in 30.1 or resaving problematic file in 30.1, it starts behaving as expected when placed.
Are you seeing similar behavior or not?

An error occurred while saving the comment @Tristan - one of the ways to narrow down Illustrator problem would be to see if the mouse works fine with other applications. Do you see this issue only with Illustrator?

An error occurred while saving the comment @Mohan Raman - some more queries to understand your side of setup better.
1. Tell us about your OS version. Has there been any recent updates to OS?
2. Are you able to launch Illustrator without opening any files?
3. Is the issue happening for each file? Are you able to create new files and save them? -

@JP Flexner - we would need preferences from your machine. See the comment from me for details.
An error occurred while saving the comment @JP Flexner - this is a good observation. If your pc is currently in the state with preferences showing this issue, please share those preferences with us - same way through email.
You can send us this folder (zipped) - ~/Library/Preferences/Adobe Illustrator 30 Settings/en_US/ which has prefernces and other relevant files.
An error occurred while saving the comment @Jp Flexner - We investigated the files shared. We were able to open the files in latest released version of Illustrator - 30.2.1 and see the content. Are you on latest version? And let us know more about your system details. Do you run into any error on opening the files?
Attaching some screenshots of the files when opened.

An error occurred while saving the comment Jane - Can you update your Illustrator to v29.8.4 and see if the issue happens with newly created files from that version?
Thanks @volf for your reply.
For us to investigate this, please send the original .ai (in a package so that it includes image as well) to sharewithai@adobe.com directly, to avoid UV’s spam robot, and mention the link to this report so we can track it back here — https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/51181984
