1. having weird problem with Middle East text

   i have switched to a new pc, after i have installed the creative cloud apps i have tried to continue my work.. once i,v started typing i face this issue :

   when i set the typing direction :RTL the letters shows up fine but it arranges the english in front of the hebrew, and thats not good

   and when i set the typing direction :LTR the english letters flips over , but the language arrangment is good

   i am using adobe products for more than 7 years & i never had these problems ever before

2. For Illustrator CC 2019, sometimes when I open a document, it says it's open but it's not visible. Only the chrome is.

   This is a bug that needs to be fixed.

3. Support for More Keyboard Shortcut Modifiers

   I want to map shortcuts using the option/alt modifier key. Illustrator won't let me do this natively, nor through macOS's Keyboard system preferences. Please consider changing this.

5. Constraint needed for 'Transform Each' and 'Transform' effect dialogs

   Please add an option to constrain the horizontal and vertical values when scaling objects using 'Transform Each'.

   I almost always use 'Transform Each' to scale proportionally, and right now you have to manually set horizontal and vertical to the same value.

   There is a way to and raster noise, but I'd love to have vector one as well, as AE and Xara and others can.

7. Better Opacity Shortcuts

   As far as I can tell, the only opacity shortcuts are:
   10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 90%, 100%

   That means the following opacities are missing:

   We should be able to set any opacity with keystrokes. Tons of other apps have proven this concept. Adobe sucks.

8. An ability to permanently move the transformation center (pivot, anchor) when rotating, scaling, etc.

   Rotation center point should be able to remain with objects and groups and then used when rotating an object using the bounding box controls.

   I want to be able to permanently edit (and reset) an object's (or group's) rotation axis (center point). I want the new rotation axis to apply for subsequent rotation transformations, for example when using the bounding box controls.

   Currently, the rotation tool (r) allows you to pick up and move an object's center, and then rotate the object around that point. Great, except that point disappears as soon as you exit the rotation tool, which isn't very helpful.

   I'm told Corel Draw had something like this... I can't overstate how much power and efficiency it would add to my workflow. For instance, with figures, It would enable something akin to rigging!

9. Select more than one layer at once

   Okay if you have more than one layer...let's say 50 and I need to select 20 of them. Why can't someone select them with a single click instead of selecting every single layer? With shift selected I can mark more than one but they aren't selected. Same thing for sublayers and so on.

   You can now select multiple layers in Layers panel. Click the bars (they get highlighted blue) if you want to operate layers and not their content (e.g. to drag to reorder) or click their markers to select their content — circle (target ones) or square (selection ones) next to them. There is no real difference which to pick, but if you want to select a range of layers, using Shift, use target markers.

11. Illustrator 88's pen tool worked better than this one

    Please, please... does anyone at Adobe actually draw with the current pen tool? This is the main tool in your toolbox and it hasn't had a good flow since Illustrator 10. You should be able to draw and use modifier keys to change to the +, - and ^ with ease. Instead, the cursor flashes and gives you one teensy moment when any of those are available resulting in additional points being placed when you might, for instance, be trying to remove a point. The direction handles get in the way of reaching points. Segments are selected too easily when you are trying to get a point. It's just too touchy and a miserable ghost of the original pen tool.

    In trying to accommodate "new features", you have reduced the ability to create precision. And you have caused me to throw my Wacom pen across the room ...multiple times.

    Bring back simplicity. Mess with other programs.

    "Constrain Width and Height Proportions" setting is not remembered in an Action. Therefore, the Action will perform incorrectly if this setting has been changed since the Action was run. Make this option controllable within the Action.

13. Remove Single Handle from Within the Pen-Tool

    If you want to REMOVE a handle by clicking, this can be achieved by using the Convert Anchor Point-Tool and Clicking on it.

    Now, all other Pen-Tool Functions can be accessed by pushing modifier keys like Ctrl and Alt, except for this one. It requires you to change out of the tool.

    I therefore suggest adding the functionality to the ALT-Mode of the Pen-Tool, which activates the Anchor Point-Tool, that if you click on a handle, this handle gets removed.

    This does NOT conflict with the current function, which is to disconnect handles, since this require Click and Drag.

14. A preference to not select objects by center point

    I do not want to select objects by their center point. I never do. I do not want to have to change this setting in the Attributes panel every. single. time. I want to disable object selection by center point.

15. Illustrator forgets which color mode is set in the Color palette (and Gradient)

    Color panel always starts with RGB values. That's useless or very hard to use 99% of the time. So first thing for me is to set my Color panel to HSB and it stays like that for that session, but after a restart it's RGB again. Always!
    Gradient panel is even worse because it forgets instantly.
    Standard gradient's pop up color select is a Grayscale slider. I've never in my life needed that - not to mention HSB has the same with the value slider. But this bothers me less than what follows:
    If I change Grayscale to HSB and do anything (click away, select same object again) it goes to what? RGB. Always.

    Please make this consistent and make AI remember my color mode choice permanently (until purposeful change)

    I don't dare to ask for HSB as the default program-wise, but to be honest that would be the best.

16. Option to Have Golden Ratio & Rule of Thirds Grid (like PS)

    For a canvas, if there is an option to get a Grid for 'Rule of Thirds' or Golden Ration.

    This will make a lot easier for the designer and will be more effective in Illustrator as compared to PS (where this option is available) where vector designs are being created.

17. Easier way to unlock layers

    I, like most people, work with layers. Sometimes those layers are 5, sometimes closer to 100. Thing is, I don't want to have to scroll through 100 layers to find the 1 locked layer I want to unlock. It would be great if I could just right-click on it, then go through a 2-step process to unlock the layer. At the very least, if I double-click on said locked layer, I wish to be shown immediately in the Layers panel where that layer is.

18. Allow users to set direction for X and Y axes

    Several versions ago Adobe decided to flip Y-axis, so origin now is placed TOP-left instead of BOTTOM-left, as it was before.
    They say it was done for compatibility with Photoshop and InDesign, which both have y-axis going down.

    I think that breaking people's workflow, deciding only ONE direction is right, was wrong.

    InDesign is a publishing software, it works with a flow. I don't know anybody who reads from bottom to up (RTL — yes). When you move an object there, you don't move it up, you move it backwards

    Photoshop is raster graphics editor, it works with a readable grid of pixels, which are written from top left (we see it every time when images load slow in browsers). Using Photoshop since version 5 I never experienced any trouble with axis going down, because it just never mattered! I retouch photos mostly. People, who uses it for drawing web-design (!) are still OK, because web pages go down. Anyway, PS even hasn't precise move dialogue controls.
    And of course, the fact y-axises go one direction, is just a coincidence (when there is only two variants for y-axis to go — it's highly occasional) — because these two programs care for different fields.

    But Illustrator is about vectors.
    Y-axis goes up in Cartesian coordinate system.
    We move objects up meaning up here.
    It was a consistency for the sake of consistency.
    It was convenient for devs and not end users.
    It was a mistake to do.
    Adobe should have asked users to vote about denying common sense.
    And Adobe should never ever ever had not given users ability to flip it.

    In fact, there IS a way to make y-axis to go down, as it was before: you have to manually set flags in prefs file:
    /isRulerIn4thQuad 0
    /isRulerOriginTopLeft 0

    BUT it causes Move dialogue to be broken (I also have this bug reported). And since there is such an ability and I can flip it in Prefs file — I will fight for an ability to work fully (the worse thing Adobe can do now — is to kill this opportunity).

    I don't ask for ruler origin to be changed to bottom left by DEFAULT, NO, Adobe already had given us an opportunity to change this by editing flags! The ideal outcome would be just a switch in Preferences within AI (and a bugfix for Move dialogue that is set upon existing and approved behaviour).

    I know quite a lot of highly valuable people from Adobe forums who still votes for y-axis go up:

    Canvas allows to.
    Inkscape seems to be able too.
    Affinity can't, but YET.

19. All letters turning to CAPS when "all caps" is selected - ð/Ð always stays lowercase (Icelandic)

    All letters turning to CAPS when "all caps" is selected would be nice. The ð/Ð always stays lowercase (ð), it has to be changed manually to the uppercase 'Ð' ...which is extremely annoying.

20. Introduce a key that allows to choose alternate glyphs from popup with keyboard

    When working with text, every time I want to choose one of proposed alternate glyphs I have to move my hand to mouse and click the desired symbol.

    This is tiring. I work with text. Why can’t I press a key to move the focus to this popup, use arrows to navigate to a desired one, and press Enter to confirm my choice? Why use mouse while I type?
    Or is it a way already and I just can't find it?

    Please, make a way to access these without mouse.
