Introduce a way to control the cross-section for 3D Inflate profile
For "Inflate", it would be cool to have a curves/profile editor to modify the cross-section more than the Volume slider currently allows. Currently it seems that turning down the volume essentially pancakes the object - and sometimes that's a good look! But it would be nice to have the option to retain an overall "bubble" feel like the object has at 100% Volume.

リンクファイルを見つける際の「すべてに適用」を復活させてほしい
Ver25にアップデートしたところ、リンクファイルを見つける警告において「すべてに適用」のチェックができなくなっているようです。
これがないと、全リンクファイルを何百点あろうがひとつづつ選択しなおさないとなりません。
復活しない限り、ヴァージョンアップは出来ません。2 votes -
Fix on Crop Mark Position in Save as PDF
If I select the color bar and page information in Marks and Bleeds, the position of the crop mark will be shifted slightly above the center of the page, so it would be helpful if you could position it at the center of the page.
Because the distance of the misalignment is so small, it is often overlooked, and when ordering prints online, it is inconvenient because you have to manually adjust the position or remove the color bar and page information before saving the file.2 votes -

当拖入或粘贴到illustrator的图片或对象大于默认画布尺寸时，应该以大尺寸画布显示，而不是现在的超出画布显示，当超出画布显示时，接下来的很多操作都无法完成；

Align objects according to order of selection (first / last)
Align objects according to order of selection. Simple. No more moving objects forward or back just to align correctly. It is so stupid and I'm sick of it!

Get rid of prompt window
i would love to be able to hide/get rid of that prompt window that says "generate, edit path, repeat, group, lock.." that pops up. its pretty annoying.
5 votesYou can disable this panel via Window > Contextual Task Bar menu command.
The current Beta 28.5.0.34 has a bug though, that enables it back after Ai is relaunched. If you are using normal build, it should just work.

Image Trace like Vectorizer.AI does
Adobe, love all the new A.I. features but what I would really love in Illustration would be what Vectorizer.AI does. Forget live trace, give one click vectorizing, please! Like what Vectorizer.AI does but in Illustrator.

Increase selection tolerance
The selection tolerance maximum is 8px. My laptop has a 4k screen making 8px less than 1/64 of an inch. It's almost impossible for me to select lines in Illustrator with this small of a tolerance.

Comment finder
Sometimes a small markup from a client on a busy page is hard to find. I'd like to see a function that dims the entire document and highlights the markup when you click on a comment in the comment panel. And even better if the page could also zoom into the markup and put it center screen when you click on the comment in the comment panel.

Add Arrange Buttons in Control panel
Its sometimes really frustrating to using two hands just for the arrange objects. Also right click menu is too time consuming just for the bringing an object to front. Inkscape handles this issue very well without messing up with layers menu or right clicking. They added 4 buttons to dock when an object is selected just for arranging objects easy and user friendly. I really seek this tiny feature in Illustrator.

Layer Tags, Virtual Layer Groups and Regex Search
I want to be able to keep layer names simple in projects with large numbers of layers, but I also want to be able to search for those layers in specific circumstances quickly and easily. To do this, I would like to be able to add "tags" to the layer properties (when you double click the layer), and then to have those tags searchable in the layer search.
Further, I often have to toggle between two layers amongst a longer group of layers at the same level, and right now I have to do a layer search for one, turn…

Set Default Font and Font Size for all new documents
Changing the default character style in Illustrator should be permanent when creating new documents. Font size 12 is rarely used for any project I've designed, and Myriad Pro is used even less so, from my experience. Having to change this every time is user friction that is unnecessary, when we could define our own font and font size that is more applicable to one's intended use of Illustrator. It's a minor inconvenience that adds up to an annoyance over time, and I hope that in the future we have the ability to skip this step.
108 votesThe intended way of setting a default font is to edit document profiles. These files are located in folders like 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2023\Support Files\Required\New Document Profiles\[language]\' on Windows and 'Macintosh HD > Applications ▸ Adobe Illustrator 2020 > Support Files > New Document Profiles > [language]' on Macs.
Make a copy of the one you want to use someplace else, open it in Illustrator, make your changes, replace the original and then use it when creating a new file.
There are many tutorials on the web about managing these, like this one: https://productivista.com/new-document-profiles-saves-your-default-settings/
However, this way indeed is not the most discoverable. Please continue to vote and leave comments if you want this to be improved.

An option to hide units in dimensions made with the Dimension Tool
Can you add an option so that the units are not displayed for dimensions and only the number is displayed? Thank you.
7 votesLatest Beta Builds now allow to hide units for dimensions.
Toggle the option in the tool’s options dialog to force it for new objects, or disable it in the Properties panel for existing and selected dimensions.

Dimension Tool Ungroup to edit
To be able to ungroup the dimension, created with the dimension tool so it can be edited. The only way I have found how to edit it is expand appearance. And that duplicates it a number of times so you need to delete the duplicates first.
8 votesRecent builds offer a native way to hide units in live dimensions, so there is no need to expand these to hide them manually or use the Find and Replace hack anymore

How to make home page preview transparent background?
Hello! I am wondering how to change the preview mode on Illustrator's home page to be transparent instead of white. It just started doing this recently and I can't figure out why. It's nothing much but annoying to me.

Non-Destructive Path Trim
It would save me incredible amounts of time if I could simply--and non-destructively--trim a path.
Example:
I create a character's arm using a tapered stroke. I then duplicate that tapered stroke so that it can function as a shirt sleeve.
<Here is where the issue comes in...>
There's not a good way to trim that duplicated stroke to function as a sleeve. I can add points and delete the stroke, but the width won't match anymore. I can create a clipping mask, but it's a pain and makes adjusting the characters pose needlessly laborious.Being able to trim the path…

Trigger "view guides" when adding one from rulers
Hey everyone, this might be a little request coming from a silly designer, let me explain :
When I was using illustrator guides lately, I found something that bugged me out, I tried to drag a new guide from the "rulers" on the corner of the canvas, I placed it where I wanted to, and to my surprise it wasn't showing, then I quickly remembered the "show guides" option inside the "view" tab was on "hide".
Of course it displayed every guide that I previously dragged in when I switched it to "show", but speaking in UX terms, it should…
