1. Show 'Can’t join a path' message as a soft one

   Modal dialogs are very dated. They grab attention, they interrupt workflows, they yell at you. Most times we don’t need these as loud as they are — a whisper is nice.
   And Ai actually now has these, 'soft' messages, like the one we get when we modify a live shape — 'Shape expanded', at the top of the view, in a gray rectangle. Calm, non-intrusive, with auto-destruction timer. Nice!

   But there are other, legacy warnings and screams.
   The most annoying for me persoanlly is the one I get when I try to join a closed path (just in case, to be sure it is closed), but Ai yells at me — 'you caaaaan't' — with a ding and a message and a text... just show the 'Path is already closed' soft message.

   Perhaps don’t mix all the cases together and display it as a huge page like you do. A user has a compound path within the selection? Tell it, and only if the user really has it. Same for other art types users can’t join.
   I see an educational benefit in having it like this now... but look, if I enable 'don’t show this again' checkmark in this alert box, I won’t be able to see if I should join more or is it just enough.

2. Rotate with arrow keys. Hold R to turn nudge in to rotate.

   I love being able to nudge the selected object with the arrow keys, I want a modifyer key that allows rotation in the same way. example: R key + arrow key rotates. Left and right arrows might be one degree increments. Up/ down could be 15 degree - which quickly gets people to the super common angles 30, 45, 60

3. Select and change stroke color in text

   I have text templates that require changing the fill and stroke colors. I have to select the text, go to Appearance, choose Type, and change the color. The issue is that there are several texts with different combinations throughout the day.

   It would be great if I could set the three text colors as shown in the image, select one, then use an action that allows me to choose the text color, either fill or stroke, and change it to another from my swatch.

4. Add First Object Above / Last Object Below commands in Select menu

   Illustrator provides two ways to access Next Object commands:
   1. From Select menu
   2. From the context menu, Select submenu

   And while the context menu provides four commands, the Select menu gives only two. First Object Above / Last Object Below — for no apparent reason — are missing, and we can’t assign hotkeys to these because of it.

   Please add them there.

6. Automated/AI-powered file names in Asset Export

   Asset Export needs more options to automate and/or use variables. Designers often need to export large groups of files (e.g. variations of a logo in multiple colours and sizes, with/without a claim or other element) which then have to be tediously and manually renamed and sorted to reflect things like size, color.
   It would be great if there were more option to automate the output by adding variables such as dimensions custom text fields, names of swatches used, etc This could even be an area where the use of AI might be useful to automatically detect the content and create a system of short, descriptive filenames

8. Library doesn't fully sync out of Capture

   I was told to put my concerns and ideas here although my frustration is mostly with libraries and the capture app capture is super cool for all of its features but the app was created specifically so that you could use those features and the library Assets in other programs my library assets won't save past about 200 and I've already created thousands, inc fun brushes i want to share, teach, but cant save or recreate so now I'm stuck. it's a cool app you should support it better and fix the glitches: export doesn't work, libraries don't work completely and neither does the share feature so I'm kind of screwed here ...not happy with you all... it's been hours on support with no help As is too often the case. :(

9. Allow For Time and Dates Values With Graphs Tools

   Currently, Illustrator graphing tools only allow for using whole, decimal, and percentage number values for plotting data in the different graphs Illustrator can make.

   I would like the option to also use date ranges and time value formats so that I could make dynamic graphs and charts that plot that type of data as well.

10. Make renaming layers consistent across Adobe applications.

    Currently, the process of renaming layers in Adobe's apps is inconsistent and misleading for new users. It provides a frustrating experience when working in several apps simultaneously. To rename a layer, users need to perform different actions in Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects

    Please, fix this issue. A universal solution (a shortcut) should exist to rename layers in all Adobe apps.

11. Filtering font selection by source / vendor

    (This is a feature request for Ai, Ps, Id etc. as well)

    Filtering from source such as Fontbook, Monotype, Adobe Fonts, Google Fonts etc.

    I've noticed its common to only be allowed to use fonts from specific sources with some clients. It's been a headache to have to go into another app and cross reference which fonts are from what source. For example, a client I'm contracted full time under I can only use Monotype due to their commercial subscription status.

    Or even to be able to create our own folders / font collections to view those only.

12. Illustrator desktop windows版でのツール切替えのショートカット　

    MacOSと同じように、WindowsのIllustratorでも、日本語入力状態でツール切替えのショートカット（vで選択ツール・sで拡大ツール・rで回転ツールなど）が使えるようにしてほしいです。あるとないとでは、便利さが段違いですから。

    As per the comment, Illustrator on the web is now a thing and you can try it.

    You also have to be an a state that is allowed to use new Adobe services.

14. Harmonizing Adobe Illustrator App with Website Icons and Selection Tools

    If Adobe Illustrator on the app matched the website, it'd be easier to get the hang of things. Take a cue from Affinity Designer—having a similar layout on the app as the website makes learning smoother. Imagine being on your iPad while the instructor's on the website, but it all looks and works the same way. That kind of consistency, including toggles and tool names, would be a real plus for the Illustrator app.

    It feels like a rare thing to do, but no — this is exactly what I needed recently, and it is forbidden, of course.

17. Multiline tooltips

    Plugin developers can’t make tooltips go in several lines. Extensive tooltips are forced to be one long line, and it’s hard to read in time.

18. Custom exposure time for hover tooltips for third-party developers

    A narrow enough request. At the moment developers can’t customize the time each hover tooltip gets displayed. When the text is long, it vanishes too soon.
