Add more Definitions to repeat
Allow more definitions to repeat feature.
The spacing is awesome and long overdue. and the brick and flip features are amazing.
But would like to be able to define the total repeats in a unit, not just in size of the repeat area. if we use it for production we want to be able to repeat 10 wide and 5 repeats high. not having to count them separately and having some cut in half. If we repeat 35 in a horizontal row it can take time to count the amount of total pieces. Also maybe add a small total of…7 votes -
Remove restrictions to useable keyboard shortcuts (e.g. Ctrl + Key for non-tools)
It would be great if the restrictions put in place for keyboard shortcuts regarding non-tools could be changed to include single key shortcuts (like tools). There is no valid reason that any of the File/ Edit/ Object/ Type/ Select/ Effect/ View/ Window shortcuts require using the Ctrl key. Indesign does this already just like many non-Adobe programs. It's time to change this.

同一アピアランス＋類似形状のものを一括選択をで選択状態になった場合、レイヤー分などのデータ編集のしやすさが向上すると考えます。
特に、添付のような総柄のデータを編集する際に、
個々のオブジェクトの整理がより簡便にできると考えております。現状、類似形状のオブジェクトを編集することはできるが、編集したのちにレイヤー分したり、コピーして貼り付けすることはできない仕様だと思いますので、ご検討のほど、よろしくお願いいたします。

Pen Tool and Curvature Tool
All my design products are from adobe, but, to be honest the path control is very primitive. The best path control tool in every single aspect could be found in CorelDraw. I think it is gonna help if you study the CorelDraw path control tool.

Copy in shift-command-m
In shift-command-m, Move, you had the option of copying by hitting option-enter on the keyboard. You took away that option a few years ago and this is slowing me down.

Guide lines colored to their corresponding layer
As someone who uses several guidelines on a project, one thing that I have found would be extremely helpful would be if the guide lines were colored to their corresponding layer. (This could be a toggleable option)
This could be particularly helpful when there are a lot of guidelines on the artboard since there is an inverse relationship between the number of guidelines and the readability of said guidelines. The more guidelines there are, the harder it can be to keep track of which guideline(s) corresponds to which element(s).

permit higher resolution art brushes
Currently art brushes are limited to 1000x1000 pixels which results in jagged edges if the brush image is used directly. Permit the use of much higher resolutions. This would increase the functionality of the brushes which currently look quite artificial.

You should be able to delete a layer with the delete key.
Like in any other Adobe program you should be able to just press the delete button instead of dragging the layer to the trash bin icon.

Add and remove Hunspell dictionaries in different languages as in InDesign - PLEASE...
Please add support for Hunspell dictionaries in Illustrator. Users from countries which languages aren't supported feel discriminated, because we pay the same price for the software as the others.

If you roll the mouse wheel over a property, count it as one "Undo"
I love rolling the mouse wheel on properties to make changes and see them in real time, but I always think twice before doing it because I know that Undoing it will be a massive pain. Please count mouse rolls as just one Undo/Redo.

Switch between stroke colour and fill colour for multiple objects
You can switch between fill and stroke of an object's colour. It would be great to be able to do the same for multiple colours (i.e ? symbol for several colours at once)

Export Selected Artboards
Instead of having to note all the artboard ID numbers, it would be nice to select the artboards needed (with Artboard Tool on canvas or in panel) then Export Selected for Screens, or Export As, to have these selected arboards automatically chosen.

Export slices as HTML
I have always used illustrator and photoshop to work in for websites. I then normally open in Dreamweaver and finish the job off. Why can I no longer use the slices I have created in illustrator to create my initial html template... I don't seem to be able to export any more.

( Export for Screens ) more file format support
Add more file formats + CMYK ability to export for screens.
Here's an example for a customer that wants multiple logos with multiple taglines for multiple usecases. (check attachment)
Am i supposed to manually generate 200 files in the future?

Vector Networks Like Figma Has
In illustrator vector shapes can only go in one continuous path. If you wanted to draw a cube, it would take 3 shapes, perfectly aligned and 12 points, 6 of which would overlap.
In a vector network a point can have multiple branches meaning that a cube could be one shape, with only 7 points (see image).
This feature would eliminate the need for complex shape overlays to create simple compositions, like a cube.9 votes -
compare .ai files
similar to compare PDF's in acrobat - the ability to compare differences between ai documents. this is useful sometime if comparing artworks pre press or outlined versions compared to live type.

Snap to Stroke width option
The addition of the snap-to-glyph functionality that was added to the type tool recently, it could be useful to have the option to snap to the outside width of a stroke (i.e. the where the path would be if a stroke were expanded into a shape), perhaps with a zoom or stroke size threshold to prevent mis-snapping at broader scale.
This could be particularly useful when try to align an object to a path with either a variable width stroke or multiple strokes applied. It would also allow for more precise alignment to the end of open paths that have…
