  1. Thumbnails in Layers always show full previews even when outline mode for the layer is toggled

    This is relatively new within recent Ai upgrades.

    Can we please revert back to preview mode ONLY for layer thumbnails regardless of how we view the layer on the artboard. This was changed recently. Why? If you choose to make changes like this, please make it an optional preference, as long time users probably don't like these changes.

  2. Share for Review - Ability for teams to update links

    Currently in InDesign and Illustrator, the person that created a review link is the only one able to update the review link. There are times when another person on my team needs to update a file and send an updated review link, but to do so, they have to create a copy of the file and make a brand new link. This is a bit tedious and doesn't keep the history of comments, which we sometimes need to refer back to. I would like to suggest the ability to allow teams on Create Cloud to be able to work on…

  3. Add ability to sort or reorder Objects on Path

    Love the align to path tool. It has made things so much easier.

    One suggestion, however, would be to rearrange the order of elements you aligned. Ideally, you would allow us to sort elements and give certain properties like HUE, Transparency, Size, Rotation, and then we could easily make things like fading shapes to signify movement or just by size where the bigger things were aligned at the end.

  5. Make Split into Grid to create warped grids based on shape if needed

    Split to Grid should learn how to split into more than just squares. Look at your Mesh tool, it obviously knows how to split different shapes, just move that code to the split tool would make it about 329983% more useful.

    Can we get additional features to handle Preview Only Text?

    • A Highlight Preview Only text feature similar to the Highlight Substituted Fonts Preference?

    • A Outline Preview Only text button or preference?

  7. There is no documentation for the vector effects in the Effect menu. Write some, please.

    There's three major sections to the Effect menu: Illustrator Effects, Photoshop Effects, and Additional Effects.

    Additional Effects is the domain of plug-in effects, and properly documenting these is of course in the hands of whoever wrote the plug-in.

    Enable artboards to be rotated individually. Simple. Here's an example of my currently workflow: if I have a large map with a winding road in illustrator, and I want each of my 5 artboards to be aligned with that road, I have to make rectangles where I wish the artboards could be, and then make the actual artboards encompass the rectangle. Then I export as an image, and rotate and crop in Photoshop to match the rectangle.   11. Feature Request: Manual Adjustment for Pattern Brush Guide Path

    I am a batik illustrator from Indonesia who uses Adobe Illustrator daily for creating intricate and detailed designs. Pattern Brush is one of the key features I rely on to develop seamless and repetitive motifs.

    However, I have encountered a significant limitation: when creating a Pattern Brush, Illustrator automatically places the guide path (the green line) exactly at the vertical center of the artwork’s bounding box, without offering any option to reposition it manually.

  12. Add an option to open the folder with exported images that stays for some time on scree

    I think it would be great if we could see a "View on Computer" or "Go to Folder" option on the screen, floating in the middle of nearly 5-7 seconds. So if we have to use it immediately we can go there with no effort... I'm writing it for Asset Export but I think this feature should be it for any save and export option on every Adobe software.

  14. Ferramenta parametrica para a manipulação de vetories com nodes não destrutiva

    Acho que o illustrator deveria ter ferramentas de manipulação de vetories e objetos mais profunda. Utilizo softwares como autodesk maia, autodesk 3ds max, blender e houdini no pontualmente em minhas criações e eles tem uma abordagem muito interessante de manipulação 3d de vetores bem complexa.

    Além de que, o Illustrator é uma ferramenta muito utilizada por profissionais de branding para criações de logo, ou seja, exige que a forma criada seja o mais unica possível. Uma ferramenta paramentrica, por exemplo, que fizesse modificações como transformações em um objeto através de nodes complexos seria muito interessante.

  15. Please revert to data recovery files being saved as .ai files instead of .aishm files that can't be opened.

    Have the data recovery files save as .ai files that you can actually open and work on, rather than .aishm files that are unopenable.

  16. Dedicated Persian Language Engine for Illustrator

    Persian-speaking users form a large and growing part of Illustrator’s user base. However, Persian text support still relies on the Arabic engine, which leads to issues in text rendering, alignment, and typography.
    Persian has unique typographic rules that differ from Arabic, and a dedicated engine is essential for proper layout and display.
    We request the development of a Persian-specific text engine to improve support and usability for millions of Persian-language users. I’m happy to provide examples if needed.

  17. Issue with Hidden Layers Exporting in PNG Format

    Hello. I am experiencing an issue with Illustrator when exporting my files to PNG format using artboards. Specifically, the exported PNG includes layers that are hidden and not displayed on the screen at the time of export. This issue does not occur when I export all the artwork or only selected artworks.

    Here are the details:

    Software Version: 29.3.1
    Operating System: Windows 11 24H2
    Steps to Reproduce:
    Open the Illustrator file.
    Hide certain layers.
    Export the file to PNG format using artboard and have transparent background.
    Check the exported PNG file.
    Despite hiding the layers before exporting, they still appear…

  18. Bring in PDF's without changing the formatting

    PDF's, sometimes, when brought in, NOT as an image, but embedded, changes font style widths, etc. This was another issue for me, with a client who built their file in ID and saved as a PDF and I brought it in and embedded it. I did not catch it, but it's clearly changed. I have the font, so that was not an issue, it just change the "BOLD" to "REGULAR". Picture attached shows the "original" PDF as a pic on the right. I have it at 50% opacity as I was comparing.

  19. Artboard Properties as Menu Commands

    Add "Maintain Width and Height Proportions" to Menu Commands so that it can be assigned a shortcut. Other artboard features like "Move artwork with Artboard" and "Scale artwork with Artboard" would also benefit from this, I lose a lot of time checking and unchecking these boxes.

  20. Font Family field (and others) in Character panel (and others) doesn’t get resized

    If we dock Character panel together with a panel that can be resized (like Layers), we get the ability to resize both.
    Sound useful if you need to long font names... but this is the filed that doesn’t get resized.

    I don’t really object against the layout of the panel (although it’d benefit from getting reshuffled, adaptive layouts is not a new thing in UI), but perhaps Ai should resize fields at least?
