  1. Ability to make the image flush left in the window instead of centred

    Currently I have to enlarge the image until it pops out of the frame, and then I can work on the zoomed in area, but it would be nice to have the ability to make it flush left. This would better utilize the frame when I have tabs open. My current workaround is arranging the frames 4-up, and then sliding the other windows over.

  2. having weird problem with Middle East text

    i have switched to a new pc, after i have installed the creative cloud apps i have tried to continue my work.. once i,v started typing i face this issue :

    when i set the typing direction :RTL the letters shows up fine but it arranges the english in front of the hebrew, and thats not good

    and when i set the typing direction :LTR the english letters flips over , but the language arrangment is good

    i am using adobe products for more than 7 years & i never had these problems ever before

  3. Group keyboard shortcut

    Grouping is something I use a lot but it's kind of cumbersome to do now so it would be easier to have a keyboard shortcut for it.

    It would be nice if a user could enter his iptc contact data and if this data is automatically added to new files.
    (same for PS and ID)

  6. Rotate objects around an anchor point but each object stays in it's original orientation

    See attached image to help make sense of my ramblings.

    This may already be an option that I'm not aware of but I'd love the ability to rotate objects around a point but those objects NOT to be rotated but just repositioned. In the example I attached, I want to be able to rotate the outer orange circles around the centre point of the blue circle. When I do this, the circles and text rotate. This is a simple example but I think it's got potential on more complex things.

  7. Scale pattern not object

    I was on the Ai help desk with Nikhail, and he told me to write to you - I do surface pattern design and you are supposed to be able to use the shortcut of S and ~ to scale pattern and not an object. But it pulls up the Pen tool for me. We reinstalled latest CC and he worked on it for a long time to no avail. HELP! Otherwise you have to go through like ten steps to transform pattern and not object, everyone else in my class seems to be successful - I must have a…

    Need to modify illustrator script to either ignore window os version or allow to remove that check from the Illustrator install script.

  10. I request that the print tiling tool be as easily accessible as it was in previous versions, it is currently too well hidden :)

    it used to be an option nested with the #HandTool in your toolbar.

  11. Maintaining colour levels between PS & AI on linked files??

    Issue: linked PS(CMYK) file into AI(CMYK) appears in AI with difference colour values from the original PS file.

    Only way around it I was told by Adobe is to directly "open" the PS doc in AI not "place" to maintain the colour values. They also had told me that this is the expect behaviour of the software.

    I feel this is a serious flaw for files for print, I have always used AI to set up my packaging print files and never had an issue I think this must be a recent update.

    Does anyone known of a work around…

  13. Width tool feature

    Hi

    As you can see from the file the split in the lower right corner is much bigger than the rest. And I was told that that is because AI treats the starting point of an object different. This makes it difficult to make symmetrict shapes without a lot of extra work.

    Therefor I was hoping this was something You could do something about in a future update

    Hello Adobe Team. I really don't know why you don't implement a little MINIMAP into Adobe Illustrator that provides a little preview of the actual work and makes it possible to zoom in by clicking on it. Working with Illustrator would be much easier if I had a little map window where I could just click on a section of my artwork and zoom straight to that point. So I wouldn't have to zoom in and adjust again and again after zooming out. And I could always see the whole picture. Maybe it's nonsense or not possible but I think…

  15. Allow calligraphic strokes for default fill/stroke

    I regularly use a calligraphic stroke in my work. It would be good if a calligraphic stroke could be applied to the default fill/stroke settings via the Graphic Styles panel. This would save a lot of time in my daily workflow.

  16. Draw with paintbrushes as if you were really drawing!

    For example, some of the brushes when drawing appear as a purple pathway first before turning into a line from the brush you have chosen. This can ve very frustration if you are using for example the water colour brushes. You should also have a circle radius around the pointer before drawing that enables us to see the size of the brush as you can on some features in photoshop. This would be very helpful to artists to see the size of the brush they are using and the brush lines you have chosen to appear instantly as if it…

  18. Layer clipping mask (a bit like a paste-inside on steroids!)

    I'd like to be able to convert a shape into a layer clipping mask which would then allow sub-layers to be created/converted so that they only remain visible within in the shape's boundary and would subsequently honour any sub-layer effects applied therein.

    Why?

    Well at the moment I have to expand any paths with effects applied to layers so that any effect is captured inside the clipping mask. This results in a destructive edit to my artwork and file duplication so that I can revert to the previous editable state when I need to make any changes.

  19. Easier access to typekit options

    I noticed that the link to the external typekit web app is no longer in the type (character) tool box. I see how the whole mechanism to search is more integrated but its still harder to scroll through font weights, type custom sample text etc. I just think there could be a link to the external web app right there in the tool box still even with the updated integration so you have the option to search differently. I see that you can still get to that web app but it feel more clunky for my work flow than it…

    I was looking to contact Adobe team, i am an artist and calligrapher and graphic designer for more than 30 years.

    I have ideas to improve the tools in Adobe Illustrator or to create an independent application to write arabic calligraphy to make a wonderfull peices of art using arabic calligraphic letters.

    Also i have a library for more than 100 vector of this type of art which done by Adobe Illustrator, i held an exhibition in Amman-Jordan.

    I hope to show this art (calligraphics) through Adobe, this type of art collabroation of hand drawn and brushes in Adobe Illustrator.
