Turn off Snap to Pixel by default for RGB documents
I don't know why this suddenly appeared as a default, but there should be a way to ALWAYS turn off Snap-to-pixel. I have to turn it off every time I open a new file.

I agree 100% !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Snap to Pixel is one of the most annoying constant painful workflow interruptions in Illustrator.I always let my co-workers know when Illustrator goes nuts and starts automatically turning on stuff that wrecks my workflow and sends you into a spiral digging in menus trying to correct stuff.
I don't know don't why but "Snap To Pixel" is always turning on... and right in the middle of when your doing something really complicated like aligning typography all of a sudden you can't move your points and tangents around because it's randomly snapping to pixel for no reason... Incredibly annoying especially if you are something complicated and detailed that requires concentration.
They only thing more annoying was the perspective grid in the old version which would pop up all the time... that was the absolute worst. But at least with that you can now hit the escape key and it works to get out of it.
I vote for this request a million time over - please, please fix this it makes Illustrator bad for graphic design.

Exactly. It'd be great if you could set different defaults for the Snap to Pixel, Snap to Grid, Snap to Guides, and Snap to Point options.

I completely agree. This is so annoying. When I start working on a project and nothing seems to align correctly with my source artwork, I remember that Adobe changed the default setting. I've scoured the settings menus and haven't found a way to have this option turned off by default.

ALIGN PIXELS IS DRIVING THIS PATTERN DESIGNER CRAZY! Look, some of us use inches. I create precise repeat patterns and they MUST align the way I decide to align them! It's that simple. I've attempted to turn off ALIGN PIXELS and every time I close and start Ai again it resets to its default. When I enter a number, dammit,, it needs to stay the number I entered. I'm the boss here,, not Illustrator! Please give us a permanent fix to turning off for good this default I will NEVER use.

This is another in the long list of the devs changing things that aren't broken. And with some little votes, I doubt they even look at this one. Please change the default on snap to pixel!

I completely agree with both of these requests, but mostly the snap to pixel. Such a useless feature to be enabled by default in a program that is—in its very nature—a vector tool.

It frustrates me that whenever I open a new RGB document the snap to pixel is automatically on, I realise it is logical, however, I wish there was just a menu option to turn it off by default.
(Also same idea for rulers, give me an option to have them auto appear in new documents)
Thank you!
