Support for Microsoft SCUP
We have invested very large in SCCM infrastructure to support Global distribution of client applications. To speed up distribution of Adobe product versions we have analyzed Adobe Update Server solution.
Based on our global environment that would require an enormous investment create a Adobe Update Server at every site location. We would like Adobe to add support for Microsoft SCUM, that would speed up product distribution without very large investment.

PDF Comment Tool
I like to design website visuals in Illustrator and add PDF comments in Acrobat but doing so means I need to re-add all the comments each time I save a new version of the PDF.
It would be great if there were a commenting tool in Illustrator that would export to PDF comments so I can add notes as I create artwork, rather than going back and doing it after each export.

Please add a feature to consolidate tool windows
When using multiple displays, If I use Illustrator on one screen and move it to the other, my tools like character, paragraph, layers etc. (small windows) don't move with the program to the next display. Even if the program is closed and opened they don't move to the correct screen that the program is now open. please fix this. It's especially frustrating when using PS, AI, ID and all of the small windows cant be consolidated for their respected program at the click of a mouse.

Bug in rich tooltips
There is currently a bug in AI on NVidia drivers that hangs the application when a rich tooltip appears. Please, while you investigate (case ADB-1255446-J9V2), give us back an option in preferences to disable all Rich Tooltips in AI., Urgently. I cannot use the product.

A tool to drag and make objects 3D
A tool that would be used to click and drag an object into varying aspects of 3D, rather than guessing and drowning in menus with the normal 3D effects.

Show how many artboards are selected
Since we can have multiple artboards selected and this selection isn't very noticeable (which should be fixed too), why not to show how many artboards are selected?
Just say how many in empty 'Name:' field, since it shows nothing when more is one artboard is selected, in brackets or different color.21 votes -
Global Swatches for Imported Files
When opening Illustrator files saved in other programs (Rhino, AutoCAD, etc), the default swatches never show up (probably because it was made in an outside program). It would be an immense timesaver if we could have those swatches (or even a user defined swatch) automatically populate the swatch panel.

Keyboard shortcuts for Align/Distribute commands and 'Align to' modes
I miss having keyboard shortcuts for align/distribute from my CorelDraw days. I'm a pro designer in a fast turnaround environment, and keyboard shortcuts are essential to my workflow.
As far as I know, the numeric keypad isn't being used in Illustrator. My proposal is: Pressing 0 toggles between absolute to the artboard or relative to last item selected. Pressing 2, 4, 5, 6, 8 will perform the align .2 = bottom, 4 = left, 5 = centre, 6 = right, 8 = top. Additionally 7 = distribute horizontal, 9 = distribute vertical.
Also, please copy the CorelDraw keyboard shortcut Tab = select next object/group, Shift Tab select previous object/group

240 votesThe most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added.
Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them.
The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. If you find this odd and want to change it — vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/45855823-sync-the-order-of-align-and-distribute-menu-comman
Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too.

Collapse unfolded actions
When actions is played, they got unfolded.
If you have a lot of actions (not in button mode), you'll have to collapse them by hand, each one.So I propose this:
1. Make 'Collapse all' command in palette menu
2. Make option 'Don't unfold actions when played'And why there is no context menu for Actions Palette?

Improve snapping strength
Currently, there is a "snap to point" feature in illustrator. However, I find that it works poorly. Often, I create guides, create geometric shapes on those guides, and move them overlap, join, or intersect to make new shapes. Currently, when I create a shape, I notice the shape will snap to a guide, but when I zoom in all the way, it will not be exact. Also, when I try to move two shapes together, I will experience the snapping effect, but it often is not lined up when I zoom in.
Is it possible to improve the snapping to guide and shape tolerance so that things line up without so much manual effort?
Here are some images for reference:
Created with guides: https://www.evernote.com/l/AGqbclpqguFG_oNQDgYthn15s1zg3pfaN64
Guides: https://www.evernote.com/l/AGpeucJg2X5FvaMtljpR3EsTcT4CNe3x0eg
When you zoom in super close, you can see that objects don't all snap to both guids or other objects: https://www.evernote.com/l/AGoxlmBQlRFNT5C_VO3SAVBIPQ_3Pk2Nbmw
Another example: https://www.evernote.com/l/AGqxb1yytmNHeLk6KaHuKDa8iir4EKRg-To
I feel like the solution could be an increase in the snappyness - so that it's stronger. Currently I use a wacom pen and I find I have to waste time doing everything manually to ensure things line up.

Auto-adjust text box to text
In the past, with Freehand, we could to do that by clicking on the bottom corner right of the text box.
Recover that would be a good idea.
Thanks!9 votesLatest versions of Illustrator can do that.
If you have the bounding box enabled, double-click the bottom filled square handle to toggle Auto Size.
You can also do that in Area Type Options dialog.

Circles in Illustrator are not accurate
The circles in Illustrator are flawed and here's why.
I discovered a major bug in Illustrator CC. The circles in Illustrator are not accurate. This is the case regardless of whether you use the ellipse tool or the arc tool. Make a circle. Check the dimensions to make sure it's accurate. Draw a radius line at 0º. Copy it 3 times and rotate the copies 90º,180º and 270º. When all of the copied lines are put on the center of the circle, they all touch the inner edge of the circle perfectly. However, Copy the 0º line and rotate it 45º. Put it on the center of the circle. It doesn't touch the inner edge of the circle. Copy the 0º line and rotate it 18º. Put it on the center of the circle. It’s even farther away from the inner edge of the circle. The circle is flawed.
Here is another way to see that the circles are not accurate. Make a hollow circle. Copy it and change the color of it's line. Rotate the copy 18º. Put it onto the original circle. They do not line up accurately. I spent an hour with an Illustrator expert while he had control of my computer through the support portal. He came to the same conclusion as i did. For some reason the circles in Illustrator are not perfect. He has spoken to his superiors and they are giving this issue priority. They were very happy that i told them about this and will hopefully solve the problem. For those of us that must have perfect geometry in our work, this is a very important issue. The circles in Illustrator are flawed and here's why.

Artboard preview in Save dialog
In the theme of "recognition over recall," it would be great if the Save dialog allowed you to preview artboards the way the Print dialog does. When I'm working fast I don't always remember to stop and jot down the numbers of the specific artboards I need to export, and it's annoying to have to exit the save dialog, find the numbers, go back to the save dialog, repeat any necessary steps such as setting file name and location, THEN enter my desired artboard number(s) before moving forward. Having the artboard preview as part of the save window would cut out at least one tedious step.
(Bonus: while I referenced the print dialog preview as a possible way to execute this, I'd prefer a solution that shows a preview of all the artboards arranged in a grid by number, and allows me to select the artboards I want to export just by clicking on their thumbnails. The print dialog's current solution to this problem becomes tedious when dealing with large numbers of artboards.)

Scale Library Palette Icons
It would be nice to be able to scale the size of the icons displayed in the Library palette. At the very least, have a few choices beyond one size.

3 improvements for general non-print UI
Would it be possible to enable global pixel snapping-possibly assigned to a modifier key combination when moving things directly(not via a dialog)? Could you have rounded corners as a parametric property when unexpanded, with separate W & H values, (expressed as PX and % if it doesn't dilute the general paradigm)? When transforming (particularly SCALE), could the bounding midpoints be shown, maybe in a different colour, if their position on their respective axes is outside of the viewport, to enable grabbing/moving them? So you dont have to zoom out and lose accuracy? Thanks

Better drivers for monoprice drawing tablet
Drawing with monoprice drawing tablets causes random drawing effects. Trying to draw a straight line will cause loops, be off screen, etc. Only with brush tool currently. Drawing will occur without pressure just hovering above the tablet.

Align to artboard when only when item/group of items is selected.
Have aligning be dynamic depending on what is selected. If one item or group of items is selected auto select align to artboard rather than the last selected option.
If multiple items are selected but not group it would auto select align to selection.
This would reduce time having to check what you are aligning to since 99% of the time when you are trying to align a group it is to the artboard and the same with selecting multiple objects. It is a hassle having to constantly be checking and changing my align options.
77 votesHi Everyone,
Thanks for this feedback. This has been avialble since June 2020 release (version 24.2). Now, when you’ll select a single object/group, Align To setting will default to Align To Artboard.
Please update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback.
Thanks,
Varun
