    Voice Over Accessibility UX - When the cursor hovers over Tool Tips and Labels etc, speak the text. This is a basic web accessibility feature not included in CC suite. I have used the Adobe software for more than 20 years but with macular degeneration it is difficult for me to read small texts. Tell your colleagues at PhotoShop and InDesign about this.

  3. Separations Preview should show colour values

    The Separations Preview panel doesn't show the colour values of each colour channel at the cursor location. This makes checking the total values of overprinted spot colours or taking colour-value readings from inside gradients impossible. As such, it's only half useful. If it works in InDesign, the expectation is that it works in Illustrator.

  4. workspace with unwanted panels

    workspace error- some panel suddenly shows up, that is not included in my created workspace. I have to reset the workspace to remove those panels.

  5. Stop adding -01 when there's only 1 artboard

    When saving with 'Use artboard', and overwriting a previous version, Ai asks whether it should overwrite. But then - it doesn't, since it adds the useless -01 after the filename.

    'Use artboard' is the way to just export the cropped art. When there is only one artboard, the -01 should not be added. And Ai should not warn that it is going to overwrite, when it isnt' (since we removed -1 manually in Finder).

    Please rework this behaviours, it is confusing, not helpfull, unlogical, time consuming and annoying.

  6. Hint all Preferences options, even without (i) icon

    Some options in Preferences are mystery for new users, but the team believe only some (just 3!) should have a dedicated (i) icon to display a hover hint.

    No.

    ALL options should have a hover hint.

    How on Earth a user can guess what 'Show/Hide Rulers' does? It feels like it is the same as View > Rulers > Show / Hide Rulers, but no, it’s not! You have to search for it! (just rename this one already)

    Or what about enigmatic 'Enable Content Aware Defaults'? What are these? OK, pros know, Puppet Warp, Lorem Ipsum, Freeform Gradient control points.…

  7. Rotate, scale, skew, transform selected objects separately

    If we make a selection of objects, and then rotate it with a corner marker of the bounding box (or with the Rotate tool), they get rotated all at once, as a single object.
    If we want to rotate all separate objects in the selection separately, the only way to do it is with the Transform Each dialog, with Preview option on, with arrow keys, changing the Angle value. Doable, but not fun.
    What if we get a mode, at least for the Rotate tool (since it’s a special tool for rotating), let’s say, with Ctrl/Cmd held, to rotate object…

  8. Allow to define circle pie angles in percent, with snapping options

    We can create pie angles in degrees, but there are cases when we rather more interested in percentage — pie charts.
    Sure, we know math, and can multiple 360° by 0.7 to get 70%, and Ai supports this in its fields...
    ...but what about the tool? How about an ability to create these directly on canvas — with the snapping to a defined value, like 5% or maybe even 3.5%?

  9. Make clickable areas for eye buttons in Layers and Appearance as large as their sections

    Clicking an 'eye' requires aiming, despite the area it is located in is pretty large. What’s a point of limiting the clickable area?

  10. Appearance Variables

    Imagine I have several drop shadows, with different colors, but same offset and blur values. Now I want to change the horizontal offset for all of them at once. Even if I use styles, it would require me change each style I have manually.
    With Appearance variables though, I could have use something like '%h_shadow' in effects’ values’ fields, in all of these shadows, and set it equal to an actual numerical value in one place.
    So, once I change it, every other shadow will adapt this immediately.

  11. Select Same Text Contents

    Please make a way to select text object with the same contents.
    Would be very useful for many practical cases.
    Sure with have Find and Replace, but it won’t allow us to SELECT these text objects,, which we can use for styling, hiding, moving, rearranging, and more.

    The latest Beta version (27.7) has the ability to filter contents of the Layers panel with an input field at the top of the panel. It does not directly select the objects that have the chosen value in their names (this includes the text contents), but allows to select them faster in the panel.

    Does it help?

  12. Learn to Rearrange artboards with coinciding or nested coordinates

    Illustrator will not rearrange artboards that are completely overlapping (that is, have the same dimensions and coordinates) and will ignore nested artboards, moving them along with their enclosing artboard.
    It should be able to detect complete copies and give an option to rearrange smaller nested ones.

    We need more smart tools in Transform Each
    - Offset origin transform
    (unnecessary extra vertex to do array transform circular for Example)
    - Add Seed box on random options

  14. Select objects underneath

    Sometimes there are duplicate objects below your most top object. There should be a command or feature that lets you see/ select duplicate geometries right below your top shapes.
    This is most evident on shapes with the same dimension.

  15. Make Undo feature to not apply to selected objects

    Basically what the title says,

    An ability to isolate objects or lock certain layers where the undo feature will not apply to.
    There have been a number of times where I start to work on a complex graphic with separate parts to it where I later realize I made a mistake on a piece i did earlier, so instead of saving the project, undo everything, save again and re import the previous saved file or other copy paste methods, we can just select the objects where the undo feature will not apply to, to keep the progress of the work…

  16. Stop creating extra anchors

    Using tools like the join tool, shaper tool and some pathfinder tools, creates more anchors than were originally in the elements that are being joined using the tools mentioned. This degrades my lines and sometimes turns corner anchors into curved or moves the anchors all together when creating more. I have spent a lot of time having to go back and fix these issues. Most of the time you can't see it until well after you have saved and have to rely keeping extra backups of your work to ensure you aren't losing details. Extra anchors creates more data to…

  17. Enable Symbols Options edit in multi selections

    Symbol option changes are made per symbol only, please enable when multiple symbols are selected. ie. I have 10 dynamic symbols that I want to change to static symbols, it currently has to be done one-by-one.

  18. Quick View (Space Bar on Mac) "elements" in Libraries "Tab Group"

    You can hover over Libraries elements and see more written info. But as they say, a picture is worth a thousand words, and a large "quick viewing" would help speed up the identification and selection of elements from Tab Group.

    Sort by name, kind and status already exists in Links palette options.
    Please add a size option (personally would find it useful so I can see offending large links to prioritise downsizing).

  20. Select Same Fill Color & Stroke Color

    'Select Same Fill & Stroke' command from Select > Same menu also includes stroke weight. But sometimes we need to ignore it and search only by colors.

    So basically we have no 'Select Same Fill Color & Stroke Color' command...

    ....no wait. We do have this command!
    It is just well hidden.

    For some reason it is available only as an option in the dropdown menu for the Select Similar Objects button — but not in the menu. Please make these two sources match and combine both lists.
