"Alternate" Grid by keyboard shortcut
In technical drawings (but not only), sometimes we temporarily need a finer grid (more subdivisions) just for a couple of work steps, after which we return to the original (larger) grid.
It is painful that for this we always have to go and change Illustrator Preferences (back and forth).Feature suggestion:
In Illustrator Preferences make it possible to define two different grid subdivision values: "default" and "alternate".
The "alternate" grid is such that it becomes active immediately when holding a specific keyboard combination (e.g. ALT key) while drawing.

Sometimes, I have a complex selection of unpainted paths, and then I need to create a color swatch to apply. But unfortunately 'New Swatch' is greyed out. Why? Why isn't it always available?

Adobe fonts do not auto activate reliably. Constant issues with Adobe fonts activating properly.
Your product does not auto activate and integrate "Adobe Fonts" properly. Fonts constantly fail to load or activate from the Adobe fonts library.
When features like this are not available, you are selling us a product that does not work. Everyone paying for an adobe subscription should be refunded based on the value of the feature. I.e. we should all be refunded for the value of PANTONE color use your app lost... why are we constantly paying to subscribe to a suite of programs that does not live up to the features promised? Do not include objects outside artboard when exporting to jpg or png
When I export Illustrator files to jpg or png, it includes all shapes and objects sitting outside my artboard area. This is impractical, especially when working on a range of concepts and you just want to send the work to the client that is on the artboards and not all the working files sitting outside the artboard area.
1 voteChecking 'Use artboards' option forces Illustrator to ignore objects on canvas outside artboards, even when the one artboard is used only.
When the option is off, Illustrator will export the whole artwork on canvas.

too hard to change text size
it's too hard to change text size in the small boxes in the character window. Hard to select all the content. Hard to select the number part only. And both of these are the only way to make it work. Please just change behavior so that clicking in the box selects all the content.

1. Clicking the caption of a field selects all the content in that field.
2. Clicking the field itself sets the cursor in the exact location of the click.
So anyone can choose the behaviour they prefer.

Share for Review Comment Not Appearing on Artboard
Adobe Illustrator's "Share for Review" feature is a wonderful addition. I see the comments in the comments window or via the cloud link. However, I can't see what or where the specific comment or feedback was placed. I know this is still in beta, but I hope it can be resolved.

After this revision, the paragraph function cannot be used with single-select nodes and the shift button
To modify the paragraph, you can use the node + Shift button to move and adjust the size without offset.

Share for review | When sharing a second document it took over the first documents link including all comments etc.
The share feature is confusing when you have multiple Ai documents to share. I had one document already out to share and then I was working on another document and tried to share that one and somehow it took over the first share link and now all the comments are showing on another document. There needs to be an easier way to manage shared links and link the share button to the current tab/project that is open.

When moving objects with the arrow keys, hide its bounding box and edges
When moving objects with the mouse, its bounding box and edges hide, but when moving them with arrow keys, they don't.

Illustrator Version History Panel for Synced Files
It would be nice if the Version History Panel within Illustrator also showed the History for Items locally saved and synced via Creative Cloud Files. The information and abilities are there when you view the file via the Creative Cloud Files Web page so it would just be a matter of the panel bringing in that information to the Panel from the website. It would be helpful to have that info locally within Illustrator instead of having to go out to a webpage in a browser.

Disable Text Auto-Formatting
In Illustrator 2023 came the addition of auto-formatting being applied to text.
Specifically bullets, hyphen bullets, etc.
This should have an option to permanently disable, as it is a nuisance and an efficiency problem to have to turn off every single new text block.
Seriously, Adobe looked at one of Word's most broken features and decided to ram it into Illustrator? The least you could do is look at a good implementation of it like on Google Docs!
But nope, we get terribly formatted, non-customizable, defaulted bullet auto-formatting.
At least give me a preference setting to turn it off permanently.

1 voteThere is a way to disable this feature: Preferences > Type > Automatic Bulleted and Numbered lists while typing.
However, the fact it’s that obscured and is not given to a user when a conversion happens is a bad UX indeed. In some other apps this choice is given, even when it’s not the first one.

Pressure Sensitivity Bug using Windows 10 Pro with Wacom Cintiq 22
There is a bug where pressure sensitivity does not work no matter what I do in Windows 10 Pro using the Wacom Cintiq 22. Brush options have been changed from fixed to pressure with the calligraphy brushes, I have verified that Wacom is enabled in Devices, Windows Ink and Pen settings have been disabled to the best of my ability, I updated and reinstalled Illustrator multiple times, installed previous Illustrator versions, reinstalled Wacom drivers, restarted my PC and still, nothings seems to work. Pressure sensitivity is working perfectly fine with all other applications including Photoshop. It is exclusively Illustrator that…

Fit a symbol on multiple 3D objects at once
Would love that a symbol could fit on MULTIPLE objects at once, like here the bottom petal to have its symbol continue on the left one.
And I would love if I could, from the decals box, get a ctrl/right click option to duplicate one symbol. So far, I need to add it from the symbol panel again which will reset its position to the center of the object.
