  1. Non Functional Gradient Stroke along/across options when stroke is outside/inside

    make a box, add a gradient stroke, apply gradient across stroke, align stroke to outside - you can't button does nothing.

  2. Image Trace has a problem keeping the artwork in the same location from the original.

    Illustrator version 22.0.1

    Image trace seems to have a problem keeping artwork in the same location from the original. Screen Shot 1 shows some text that I have rasterized to be image traced. I work at a die making facility so rasterized images need to be made into vectors for our CNC machines to "read them."

    As it stands, if I image trace this text it is going to be transposed to the right and below the original. The image traced result in Screen Shot 2 is the magenta color. My original rasterized image is in black. When this specific…

  3. オプティカルカーニングのテキストにタブを設定しても揃わない - Optical kerning text does not align when tabs are set

    「文字間のカーニング：オプティカル」のテキストに「タブ」パネルで「タブ位置」と「リーダー」を設定しても、タブの位置で文字が揃わない。

    MacOS Monterey（12.7.4） + Illustrator 2024（28.4.1）

    再現手順:
    1. テキストオブジェクトに文字パネルで「文字間のカーニング：オプティカル」を設定する
    2. 「タブ」パネルで「タブ揃え」、「タブ位置」、「リーダー」を設定する

    期待された結果:
    指定したタブ揃え・タブ位置でテキストが揃う

    実際の結果:
    指定したタブ揃え・タブ位置でテキストが揃わない

    回避方法:
    ・テキスト中のタブのみに「オプティカル」以外のカーニングを設定する
    ・タブを設定したテキストでは「オプティカル」以外のカーニングを利用する

    「オプティカル」以外のカーニングを利用すれば回避できますが、フォントや文字の内容によっては「オプティカル」を使いたいこともあります。その都度タブのみに「メトリクス」等を設定するのは手間がかかります。また、「リーダー」に記号等を設定しなければテキストは揃いますが、それではタブの機能を利用する意味がありません。
    InDesignにも同様の機能がありますが、カーニングの設定が何であれテキストの位置はタブ位置で揃います。
    ユーザーの工夫で回避するのではなく、Illustrator側が改善すべき挙動だと考えます。

    1. set optical kerning to the text.
    2. set tab alignment, tab position, and leader in the "Tabs" panel.

  4. Gradient tool issues

    1. Handles on on object's Gradient Annotator are difficult to adjust once a gradient has been dropped. Usually, handles simply don't respond. User needs to start from scratch and create a brand new gradient rather than make small adjustments to existing ones.

    2. Repeated but not consistent bug: adjusting one gradient causes changes to unrelated gradients on same document.

    3. Live preview of gradient tool is prohibitively slow, esp when gradient is anywhere near an existing Effect.

    FIX: Allow us to toggle the preview effect.

  5. ドキュメントのグループの抜きを設定したドキュメントをPDFで書き出したものがオーバープリントプレビューの表示と異なる

    再現手順
    1. いくつかの図形を重ねて合成モードを乗算に設定したうえでグループ化しグループの抜きのチェックボックスを外す。
    2. ドキュメントのグループの抜きを設定する。
    3. PDF X4で保存する。
    4. そのPDFをAcrobatで開く。
    5. Illustrator上でのオーバープリントプレビューの表示と異なる。

    Actual result
    PDFを書き出した状態とIllustrator上での表示が異なる。

    Expected Result
    PDFの表示とIllustrator上での表示が同じになる。

    Illustrator上でのグループの構造の違いがIllustrator上のレンダリング結果とPDF書き出し結果で相違が生じています。1でのグループの抜きのチェックを外したグループではIllustrator上ではグループ内ので抜き処理を行わず合成モードの処理を行います。これがPDFを書き出した際にグループの抜きと解釈され、全てがノックアウトされた状態でPDFが作成されます。どちらが正しいかという事は難しいのですが、グループに設定されたノックアウトを拒否する設定をPDF書き出し時にも有効にするほうが表現の幅が拡がるように思います。

  6. Drop Shadow, Inner and Outer Glow, Etc. renders incorrectly: on large polygons angled lines only, or when placed within a fill

    When I make a drop shadow, outer glow etc. there are places on the shadow that end abruptly in intervals. I make a triangle or any polygon (even a rectangle that is rotated). Go to Effect > Illustrator Effect > Stylize > Drop Shadow. Multiply: 75%:0":0":0.5". Color Black. I've tried other colors and other settings for Blur and Mode. This does the exact same thing using Outer Glow. I have a 66" x 36" artboard on the examples below.

  7. Preferences reset to default... EVERY time I open Illustrator

    Every time I open Illustrator, all preferences are reset to the defaults. EVERY preference, EVERY time. I've saved custom workspaces, keyboard shortcuts, etc. and those are available to be activated, every time I open the application.
    Using AI CC 2018 (22.0.1) on Windows 7, with Cloud disabled.
    I do NOT have the option to install the latest patch; I don't even have access to menu item "Check for Updates."
    Would be EXTREMELY helpful if Adobe would make the list of fixes for each patch available. I have no way of knowing when there's been an update, or what was patched…

  8. Hide text highlighting on "Hide Edges" (CMD+H)

    This was never fixed in CC 2015 - 2017 and the same **** bug is in CC2018.

    In ALL previous versions of AI prior to CC2015 (or at least as far back as CS5 when I got Illy), if you selected text with the Text Tool which made the text highlighted, if you then performed the Hide Edges command, the highlight would NOT show... that way you could change the color, Tracking, font size etc of ONLY the SELECTED characters without affecting the others.

    The "big deal" here is when you are trying to see the color change take effect…

    We are able to reproduce this issue in house and we are investigating it .

  9. ファイル→書き出しにてJPEGを書き出す際、圧縮方式が選択したものと異なる場合がある

    Windows10/21H1 Adobe IllustratorCC 26.0.3

    問題が発生したときに実行していた手順
    1.アートワークをアートボード上に作成する。
    2.ファイル→書き出し→書き出し形式を選択しJPGを選択する。
    3.ダイアログ上で圧縮方式を「ベースライン（最適化）」を指定しJPEGファイルを書き出す。
    4.書き出されたJPEGファイルは圧縮方式がプログレッシブになっている。

    想定していた結果
    指定したベースライン（最適化）でJPEGファイルが作成される。

    実際の結果
    圧縮方式がプログレッシブにて書き出される。

    この症状はWindows版のみで起こるようです。また、書き出し状態が異なるケースも見られるようなので他のパラメータによる影響を受けている可能性も残ります。
    わたしが検証したファイル３種類を添付します。それぞれがファイル名に付けた圧縮形式で書き出しを行っていますが、バイナリデータを見てもベースライン最適化とプログレッシブのマーカーが入れ替わっている状態です。

  10. SVG Export Missing XML Encoding Tag

    The latest updates to Illustrator (21.0.1) seems to have removed the all-important encoding tag required by browsers to render SVG appropriately when embedding etc. in an html page.

    It exports the svg without this tag at the beginning of the file.

  12. Copying tables from InDesign and only the text pastes in Illustrator

    Hello, I used to be able to copy a table I created in InDesign and copy and paste it into Illustrator with all of the formatting being the same. Now when I go to paste a table, all of the table formatting is missing and it's just a big block of text. Please fix this soon as my company does this on a day-to-day basis for our images. I attached an image of what it looks like when I paste the table in Illustrator.

    Illustrator team is working on a fix for this issue. Meanwhile you can use the below workaround to paste the table as it was before.

    Before you copy the table in InDesign, create a path object along with table and then copy from InDesign and Paste in Illustrator. This forces the PDF route for copy/paste between ID and AI

  13. 合成フォント使用時、パス上文字アウトライン後の文字の回転・変形

    ver 26.2.1
    パス上文字ツールで作成した円弧上の文字をアウトラインかけると勝手に回転、変形がかかります。
    以前のバージョンでは問題なかったので大問題です。早急に対応願います。

    ご報告いただいた「合成フォントが使用されているパス上文字をアウトライン化した際に、一部の文字が正しくアウトライン化されない現象」の再現を確認いたしました。

    こちらの問題は曲線パス上の文字の角度によって、再現の有無があるようです。

    また、ノーマルフォントの場合は再現しませんが、単一フォントのみで作成された合成フォントでは再現することが確認できました。

    今後ともよろしくお願いいたします。

  14. Text with missing fonts do not always highlight

    Even though "Highlight Substitute Fonts" is enabled in Preferences, text is not always highlighted when a font is missing. Expected behavior is for text with missing fonts to be highlighted in pink when this feature is enabled.

  15. Cannot undo paragraph or character style changes or deletions

    If I make any changes to paragraph of character styles, I cannot undo them, even if I delete a style. Changes are not registered at all as undo states. The only way to undo is to revert to a previous save.

    再現方法
    サイズA4で新規アートボードを作成
    「要冷凍」というテキストオブジェクトをサイズ15ptで作成
    このテキストにアピアランス「パスのオフセット：0.05mm」を適用する
    アートボードの座標をX座標 100mm、Y座標 -148mmに変更
    「要冷凍」テキストの座標をX座標 197mm、Y座標 -2.1mmに変更
    文字の塗り潰しが添付画像のようになる（座標は全て左上起点）

    テキストをアウトライン化しても発生する
    どのようなフォントでも発生する
    同じような大きさの複合パスでも発生する
    線幅では発生しない

    以下の環境で確認
    MacOS 10.15.7
    Adobe Illustrator 26.0.1
    Adobe Illustrator 25.4.2
    Adobe Illustrator 24.3

    Windows10 Pro
    Adobe Illustrator 24.3(64bit)

    通常作成される、座標（X0,Y0）のアートボードで、版面左上端にテキストがかかっている場所で発生するようだ。普通こんな位置にテキストは置かないが、アートボードの座標がたまたまY軸方向にマイナス（上）X軸方向100mmの位置にあると、版面の真ん中で発生してしまう。文字というより複合パスで発生しているようである。

    対処方法
    アートボードの座標をリセットして、当該オブジェクトを適当な位置に移動して戻すと解消する。
    必要がなければ線幅で対応する。

    ご報告いただきました問題につきまして、再現が確認できました。

    「パスのオフセット」効果が適用されている文字の中マド部分の直線と、「Y軸 = 0」のラインが重なる場合に発生するようです。
    簡単に「田」や「A」の字で再現できました。

  17. 異体字グリフがプレビュー用に保存しても表示されない

    macOS14.7.2/27inch iMac/i5/32GB/1TB

    再現手順
    1.新規ドキュメントを開き任意のテキストを入力し適当な単語を入力し一部のキャラクタを選択して異体字に変更する（異体字を含むフォントを指定すること）。
    2.「ファイルプレビュー用に許可されたフォントを埋め込む」チェックボックスをONにして保存して閉じる。
    3.指定したフォントをアンインストールする。
    4.先のドキュメントをIllustratorで開く。
    5.異体字が指定されたキャラクタが「notdef」グリフで表示される。

    期待する結果
    埋め込まれたフォントを利用してオリジナルの体裁が表示される。

    実際の結果
    異体字を指定した部分がnotdef（U+0000）にフォールバックする。

    Translated:
    Step to Reproduce
    1. Open a new document, enter any text, type the appropriate word, select some characters and change them to alternate glyph (specify the font that contains the ALT).
    2. Check the "Embed allowed fonts for file preview" check box, save and close the file.
    3. Uninstall the specified fonts.
    4. Open the previous document in Illustrator.
    5. The character with the ALT specified will be displayed with the "notdef" glyph.

    Expected result
    The original appearance is displayed using the embedded font.

  18. Illustrator 25.4.1 Generating constant 105MB log files into com.adobe.dunamis folder and filling up hard drive

    When I am working in Illustrator, my fan starts to run and Illustrator generates multiple log files per minute in the com.adobe.dunamis folder. Each log file is roughly 105MB and before I was able to pinpoint what was going on, it filled my hard drive with 750GB of log files. If I close Illustrator and reopen it, it stops for awhile but I haven't been able to pinpoint what triggers the start of the log file generation – it isn't consistently doing it, but it does occur multiple times per day.

  19. 画像をコピー＆ペーストするとスライスの設定が消失します

    ドキュメント間で画像のコピー＆ペーストを行なうと、ペーストしたドキュメントの矩形に付与したスライスの設定が消失してしまいます。
    画像を含まないオブジェクトのコピー＆ペースト、ドキュメント間でのドラッグ＆ドロップによる画像の複製では再現しません。

  20. Greek text now keep accents with All Caps and is not consistent with UPPERCASE result

    This has to do with the new update where all files previously created using Greek language using CAPS now all have accents. Now every time we need to change the language to Greek for accents to disappear. I'm sure this will be an issue for greeks around the world.
