異体字グリフがプレビュー用に保存しても表示されない

再現手順
1.新規ドキュメントを開き任意のテキストを入力し適当な単語を入力し一部のキャラクタを選択して異体字に変更する（異体字を含むフォントを指定すること）。
2.「ファイルプレビュー用に許可されたフォントを埋め込む」チェックボックスをONにして保存して閉じる。
3.指定したフォントをアンインストールする。
4.先のドキュメントをIllustratorで開く。
5.異体字が指定されたキャラクタが「notdef」グリフで表示される。
期待する結果
埋め込まれたフォントを利用してオリジナルの体裁が表示される。
実際の結果
異体字を指定した部分がnotdef（U+0000）にフォールバックする。

Step to Reproduce
1. Open a new document, enter any text, type the appropriate word, select some characters and change them to alternate glyph (specify the font that contains the ALT).
2. Check the "Embed allowed fonts for file preview" check box, save and close the file.
3. Uninstall the specified fonts.
4. Open the previous document in Illustrator.
5. The character with the ALT specified will be displayed with the "notdef" glyph.
Expected result
The original appearance is displayed using the embedded font.
Actual result
The part specifying variant characters falls back to notdef (U+0000).

Ten_Aさん、ご返答ありがとうございます。「.pdf」を削除の上開き「ファイルプレビュー用に許可されたフォントを埋め込む」にチェック後保存→EricMachatScript-Boldを削除し再度ファイルを開くと、添付していただいたスクリーンショットの通り異体字を指定した部分がnotdefグリフにフォールバックした状態になっているのを確認できました。ご報告くださりどうもありがとうございます。

先の投稿に添付されたファイルはillustrator形式ファイルの拡張子をpdfに変更したものです。「.pdf」を削除の上Illustratorで開いてください。
注目するべきは右下のEricMachatScript-Boldです。
下のcaféでは異体字が使われていません。上の「Coffee」の「o」と「ee」の部分は異体字です。表示用にフォントが埋め込まれていますが、この異体字を指定した部分がnotdefグリフにフォールバックした状態で元のデザイン（アウトラインで示したもの）を再現できていません。EN:
The file attached to the previous post is an Illustrator file with the extension changed to pdf. Delete the ".pdf" and open it in Illustrator.
Note the EricMachatScript-Bold in the bottom right.
The "café" below does not use alternate glyph. The "o" and "ee" in "Coffee" above are alternate glyph. The font is embedded for display, but the parts that specify these alternate glyphs fall back to the "notdef" glyph and are unable to reproduce the original design (shown in outline). -

いつもお世話になっております。
こちらで再現を試みましたがフォールバックが確認されませんでした。（表示用に埋め込まれたフォントは追加のチェックボックスがグレーアウトしてチェックできないのは依然変わらず。）
フォールバックが起こるのに使用フォントと異体字を教えていただけますか？
同じフォントと異体字でフォールバックが再現できるか確認したいと思います。
また挙動を確認できる動画もお送りいただけますと大変助かります。
