Properties panel contents scaling and freezing
The contents of the Properties panel is scaling down to tiny sizes. It doesn't reset until you quit and reopen Illustrator (CC 2018).
The scaling happens with ⌘+scroll while hovering on the panel. The contents will scale up or down as long as you are holding the ⌘, but if you let it go while the contents are scaled down the panel with freeze at that scale and won't respond to ⌘+scroll anymore. The panel's functions still seem to work fine after this.

reinstalling is not the only way, resetting the settings will solve it. Reset video:

This happened to me too. Here is a screen shot with the properties screen slightly smaller. Just reopened after having it shrink to an illegible size, and it happened again.

Hi, I got the same problem, I close the program, sign out on adobe, then open illustrator, sing in to adobe and it get back to original size. Hope it help you..

Same issue. Exactly as described here while holding COMMAND if you happen to scroll your mouse over the properties panel you can't set it back and have to quit and reopen. I have a video but can't add it here for some reason.

I was doing my assignment and somehow the text on my properties panel became so tiny after making a mistake on my mousepad, I was so worried I cried for 5 minutes straight because I tried reopening the panel but it was still tiny. I knew I have to use Illustrator everyday I got so stressed because what if there is no solution to it. But thank you so much for the info to reinstall, thank god it worked. I hope this issue will try to be resolved soon so that people would not get heart attacks over these matters.
