Image Trace Window Won't Expand

Mine works fine for a while, i.e. it expands and functions normally, then it quits on me and wont expand for a period of time. This has been going for at least a couple of years now.
It really needs to be fixed, its a glaringly obvioius and very annoying bug.

As someone has noticed it is about the Advanced function. If you click and expand the Advanced function, the window will close and cannot be opened again, as long as it is docked with the other function windows.
Solution (temporary) is to un-dock it from the rest of the functions windows. Drag its name off to the artboard and when you release it, it will automatically open up in the Advanced state. If you want it back with the others just closed the Advanced mode and drag it back to dock it with the rest.
Hope they fix it soon, this is such a drag ;)

For me the image trace panel only shows up when I have illustrator maximised on my screen. If this is not the case, I have limited options in the row docked at the top, but the panel will not open.

Same issue. I've even reinstalled illustrator, same problem persists.

To be clear, the image trace window is open, it is just minimized and refuses to open. I quit and reopened the application, and it allowed me to open it briefly, but after clicking "advanced", the window immediately minimized again and would not re-expand.
