Thick Stroke and Spikes
Windows 10 HP; Adobe Illustrator CC;
1st Problem: Thick Stroke
Everytime I make an outline, its a huge stroke when it only says its suppose to be 1 pt. I don't know if I messed with the settings or something but can someone please tell me how to fix it.
2nd problem: I'm trying to make watercolor background and when I try to add a gradient to my brush strokes it completely ruins the stroke and freezes the program! Please help! I don't know anything about computers so I'm such a beginner!

RESOLVED: As Egor mentioned please adjust your zoom level, 1 pt will look bug at 6400% zoom. Look for zoom drop down at bottom left of your screen.
CAN NOT REPRODUCE: We could not recreate the issue where gradient freezes the application. Please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – https://helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

You are working with 6400% zoom. Of course 1pt is huge! Try to zoom out to 100% and work not with tiny-tiny objects. You could also attach your file for investigation
