Illustrator CC 23.0.2 not opening a SVG file
When I try to open a svg file, a dialog box asks me to "Select a File Format to open file:" The options are Pixar, PCX, BMP, PNG and Targa. Not only do I not need any of these options, but if I click any of them and press OK, I get an error that reads, "Could not read the file because the plug-in could not understand this file."

Hi Jeff,
Thank you very much for reporting this issue. Could you try the following as workaround and report if this makes the SVG file open please?
1. Open the SVG file in a text editor
2. Save as entirely new SVG file with a file name that is unknown to Illustrator (you haven't opened any SVG file with this name in Illustrator before)
3. Open the newly created SVG file in Illustrator.Thanks a lot in advance,
