Transform Again doesn’t work with live or outlined text when transformation is made using the bounding box
In Adobe Illustrator, I use the transform again tool a lot during my day to day and seemingly recently, it hasn’t been affecting live or outlined type* when it will affect any other regular object. Has anyone come across this on their own or know how to fix it? It will continue to transform the text if you scale up or down as well repeating moves but when scaling objects to certain sizes using the guides and then replicating the same growth on the text object doesn’t work.
I’ve tried ungrouping, releasing the compound path, tried intersecting the shapes, the menu command

This problem is reportedly fixed in the latest Beta Build 30.5.0.18. You can update and test if it’s truly gone.
However, please not there are some known issues with this particular build:
- Opening recent files from Home Screen Recent section is not working (opening recent files from File > Open Recent Files works fine).
- Generative Expand does not open its own HUD when used after Generate Vector, Generative Shape Fill, or Sketch to Vector. Instead, the previous tool's HUD is displayed and Generative Expand remains inaccessible. Workaround: Ungroup the generative content first, then apply Generative Expand.
Half of Astute Graphics plugins can’t get loaded. Both teams are now aware of the problem.

I can confirm this... nothing I try (including pathfinder operations) makes the text to loose this unwanted immunity.
Only the transformations made with the bounding box are bugged, but not those done with dedicated Scale or Rotate transformation tools.
Works fine in CS6.
