Can't Install or Launch ANY version of AI 2020 after the 24.2 update
On Tuesday (6/16), I updated Illustrator 2020 to version 24.2. I launched it and created a document just fine. Then, Wednesday morning when attempting to launch, I received two different error messages, see below. I have uninstalled and re-installed every version of 2020 now and see the same error messages when I try to open it. I need to have 2020 AND 2019 both on my computer due to a plug-in for a die-cutting plotter (Graphtec plotter; software is Cutting Master 4) that doesn't have an update for AI 2020 available yet. Please help. I am the only designer at a small print company and I need this to work ASAP!!!

I can't launch AI 2020 24.2 either after update this morning, June 25. No diagnostics are able to run. I'll try the usual and report back my fixes if possible.
UPDATE -- I uninstalled v 24.2, restarted my iMac Pro, reinstalled the previous version 24.1.3, and I'm back in business.
Lesson learned but ignored on my part: don't do an update midweek, especially on a deadline.
I'll address the issue either this weekend or next, or maybe Adobe will issue a fix by then. -
Try to reset you Preferences first (but copy the folder first), and if it won't help — uninstall and reinstall both versions. I am sorry, but it's usually the only thing we can do.

Both versions ran together fine until this latest update.
