Illustrator window moves behind all other windows when you reposition the frame
When selecting a window in Illustrator it immediately falls to the background as I move it around. VERY obnoxious.. this is also happening in Photoshop.
Mac Studio, 64gb, Ventura 13.2.1, latest version of AI and PSD.
Suddenly, this is reported to be fixed in the latest Beta Build 30.5.0.64, now availibale in CCD!
Please try to update and see if this is really fixed.
Comment back in any case, to make sure it’s finally gone.

Here is a screen shot of what is going on now. Now Indesign goes to the back. The weird flashing top bar of Illustrator I could not replicate this AM, but this shows how Indesign comes to the front for a second, but then is trapped behind. Just like Illustrator used to do.
Sometimes this happens, sometimes it doesnt. I cant seem to figure out why it happens. There have been suggestions about WHERE i grab the top bar, but that doesnt seem to matter.IMPORTANT NOTE: As before, this issue can be affected by all other windows, not just Adobe programs. So as before when Illustrator was going behind even Finder windows, now Indesign is as well. Sometimes. And sometimes it doesnt.
I like having multiple windows open at once for my Adobe Programs, Apple Music, maybe a web browser: Indesign will go behind ALL of those - just like Illustrator used to. -

BETA TEST:
Just downloaded Illustrator Beta. So far it "kinda" works. Why "kinda"
If I have Indesign and Illustrator open, the old problem of illustrator going to the back seems to be fixed - but glitchily so. When I click on Adobe Illustrators header to bring it to the front, it blinks several times fast then does indeed come to the front.
The problem is that now Indesign will always go to the back and I cant bring Indesign to the front anymore. So the problem is still here, just with a different program. So 6 still equals half a dozen. No improvement of productivity.I didnt have my hopes up, but at least there seems to be some sort of attempt to fix this.
The programmers need to make sure they have Illustrator, Indesign and Photoshop open at once for a true test. Im sure they thought of that, but some of us use all three of those programs at once and need to easily bring what we want to the front. Otherwise its a shell game while trying to get deadlines complete.By the way, when this problem started my son was in the 7th grade. Hes driving himself to high school now.

Where can I try the Beta? When I look in Creative Cloud the most recent is 30.3, which is what I already have. Is there a different place for Beta versions?
NEVERMIND, I see the Beta tab for 30.5 - Ill try today.

How many years must we live with a bug before it’s fixed? It doesn’t even bother to only happen for me if I try to resize it - it happens constantly just by clicking on the Illustrator window.

I am also becoming mad with this bug. How a supposed big company can't handle this? what's wrong?

Seriously, Adobe?! With all the complaints...no fixes for this yet? It's so frustrating to work with this bug all day, every day!

Updated to Tahoe - still does the same thing. I have a feeling they are not even trying to fix this issue at this point. Super annoying and frustrating. Its like amateur hour.

My studio just updated our OS to Sequoia. Was hoping it would fix issues, but still does the same thing with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

My work requires I have multiple screens/docs open and this illustrator bug slows my work down and causes issues with tracking. It is also EXTREMELY annoying and disruptive to workflow.

This is an exceedingly aggravating problem – and, for me, still going on with Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. It needs to be fixed asap, it makes work unnecessarily more difficult.

This is still happening and critically affecting every creative in our studio. As Adobe leadership pushes the A.I. promo bs for entry level wannabe designers more and more, and engineers spend less and less time on the basic functionality of a program, here we are.

This began for me when my studio updated my computer to Ventura. It happens with Illustrator as well as Photoshop and InDesign. It hinders my workflow. Been about a year of this for me. Seems like its been going on a bit longer for others. Terrible that Adobe hasnt resolved this. They just keep pushing artificial intellegence. (PS. I keep all of my software up to date)

UNBELIEVABLE!!! This is STILL happening. With all the updates we have had Adobe still cant fix this?
This is not an added feature request - this is a FUNCTIONALITY issue. Make this priority one! -

Now InDesign is also doing it. Ridiculous.

I feel Adobe completely abandons practical UI design problems for fancy AI tricks to that makes them more $$$ while we keep paying more $$$
A loyal user since the early 1990's this is disheartening.

Adobe, fix this! Why is it taking you so long?
