100% View is Inaccurately Sized - Wrong Monitor Resolution Detected?
This is marked ad fixed in older bug reports, but it is still an issue in 2023.
When viewing my artwork at 100% Display, it is not accurate. The document I will refer to for this example is a 6"x9" postcard. The settings I have tried and the actual results are below:
Edit>Preferences>Display Print Size at 100% Zoom is checked
Result: ≈7.5"x11"Edit>Preferences>Display Print Size at 100% Zoom is not checked
Result: ≈5.25"x8"Tried both of these settings with the "View Actual Size" shortcut, they rendered the same results.
So currently, the only way for me to actually see the true size of the document I'm making is to zoom and measure with a ruler until it's accurate. With the first setting, 81% zoom is the actual size. With the second setting, 113% zoom is the actual size.
When posting this to the community, a community expert recommended I report this as a bug, suggesting that Illustrator might just have detected the wrong monitor resolution.

For the reference, it’s not the first time this problem is mentioned here:
1. 100% view is not 100% for pixels in cc2019: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/35736118
2. 100% size is actually actual size: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33253402
3. Actual Size view menu does not display at actual size...: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/35743504
All three as of today marked as complete and resolved, but we all know they are not.
I will update the statuses and forward them all here. Please continue providing the specs to gather enough data to boost the investigation.

Just for those who doesn’t know how Acrobat solves this, take a look at the image attached.
I don’t mean it’s perfect, since editing the value here does not give an immediate feedback to check, like drawing a line right there one can measure with a physical ruler applied directly to screen. But it’s better that a guess Ai makes, which doesn’t always work for all of us!(Edited by admin) -

Display Print Size at 100% Zoom/Actual Size does not work for me. Viewing at 100% either with or without this option checked does not result in 1":1" accurate preview.
In Acrobat I was able to fix the PPI to match my monitor (109 PPI) and 100% zoom is now accurate. Illustrator (and Photoshop for that matter) are not displaying accurately with my monitor PPI.
I'm designing for print and need to be able to see my documents preview at the correct scale without having to manually input 152% every time. Thanks in advance.
