Linked ai file being cut off
a Flattened tiff is opened and then saved in illustrator with a mask as ai. It is placed in another ai. file and when that happens part of the image is cut off, and its not part of the mask. I tried making sure there was only one layer in photoshop and in illustrator, resaved it different ways and still comes out the same. seems to follow a few particular files and sometimes appears all black or part of it black or just cut off. the files are no different than the ones that do work.

I checked and that AI. I sent was saved in the previous version which works. This was happening on different workstations with different specs. it did not change when scaling up or down. we noticed it also had an issue ripping in our print software that doesn't happen when saved under an older version. this is the error that happened if it helps,
(This CMYK image has an attached ICC profile. This leads to incorrect color output during rendering if the option "Honor Source Profiles" for »CMYK« is deactivated.
Data stream verification failed. The Image is syntactically not correctly encoded.)in the print preview screen it shows it being cut off.

I got the files, thanks.
Als, when I open it, it behaves just fine, nothing is missing for me like you show.
I am able to move it into another document, and place it as linked also.
I checked it on Windows 10 with both the latest release and the Beta.
What are you specs?
Does it help to toggle GPU mode? Scale down the object? Move it or rotate? -

I tried these same files on the previous version of illustrator 27.7 and it works correctly and rips to our printer. there is a link below to the files. the size for the ai is 97,537 kb and the tiff is 193,978 kb.

we also tried printing one file that appeared to be fixed but would get an error and in the ripping software the same thing happened. when we tried printing just the tiff it worked fine. they are large files so i don't think i can attach them.

Can you please share this TIFF and this Ai file with that linked TIFF with the mask here, so the team can study it?
