Find and Replace text results in unwanted repeated characters
Illustrator v 28.0
Mac OS Ventura 13.4.1
Using the Edit > Find and Replace... function to search for and remove text results in the first character after the removed text to be repeated. For example:
Old text: Lorem Singapore / Lorem Hong Kong / Lorem Australia
Find "Lorem " and replace with nothing
Result: SSingapore / HHong Kong / AAustralia

Thanks @Egor. Yes please go ahead and merge.

I confirm, does happen on Windows using Ai 2024, but does NOT in Ai Beta.
If you remove the space at the end — no duplication happens. The report seems to be a broader copy of Find and Replace Text Adding numbers (https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/39397234).
Tom, would you mind I merge these together? -

When finding and replacing a string ending in a "/ " with nothing (“”) the find and replace adds an extra digit.
For example in the string: "Category / subject / 03 - Task"
Replacing "Category / subject / " with "" (to leave just the "03 - Task") will result in "003 - Task" - adding an extra 0.
This is the same if the leading numerals are different, for instance "11 - Task" becomes "111 - Task"
This happened in 2019 and the current 2020 versions of AI. On Mac OS X 10.15.2 (and I recall it still happening in older Mojave).
