Keybord shortcut doesn't work for Object > Expand
I added a custom keyboard shortcut for
Object > Expand (Alt+Shift+Ctrl+L)
It has no conflict with any other shortcut
For example, while I have a rectangle selected and it has a stroke applied, if I select the expand command from the menu, it works flawless.
But if I hit the "Alt+Shift+Ctrl+L" keys, the shortcut won't work until I expanded first from the menu command
Only after I clicked on the menu command, the keyboard shortcut starts working again

Oh, I get you.
The thing is that some apps steal hotkeys even when not in focus.
Especially it often happens for Microsoft apps, because of their deeper integration into the OS (and Microsoft bluntness).
Skype will still Ctrl+Alt+Shift+D when it’s launched (which is Transform Each in Ai by default), and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+L is told to launch LinkedIn in Windows 11.You are in Windows 10 though... I checked the combination and it works for me, and launches Presentation mode.
Perhaps some other app steals it for you.
Try to close them one by one, using Task Manager if needed, to figure out which does.There are also some utilities that allow to display used hotkey for tall the apps... but the last time I used it, it make my machine freeze.
BTW I still can’t use Ctrl+Shift+0 (zero) for Expand... both in Ai and Ps (for another command). So I really mean I understand it.
