Bugs when saving PDF files: Adobe Illustrator has stopped working
When saving a file as Ai or PDF, it often happens that Illustrator hangs/stops working and displays the message: Adobe Illustrator 2024 has stopped working. Please verify the error, because we cannot save projects, sometimes it works, but most of the time the program crashes.

To save the file as PDF, I use the settings: Printer quality. The program crashes regardless of whether it saves as Ai or PDF.

What preset do you use to make a PDF?
Does it work stable if you try to save as .ai instead?
