Bring to front/back not working with new update
Manually right-clicking and selecting "bring to front" and "send to back" aren't working. The shortcut (ctrl + shift + [ or ] ) is also not working. This seems to have started after updating to version 29.4.
Every tutorial I can find hasn't helped. This bug has massively increased my workload as I use this action every few seconds.

So the bug slipped away... saddening. Glad it’s working for you though.
If you happen to encounter it again, please collect all you can so the team can try to reproduce it. Even if it seems narrow, it can actually affect a lot of us, in the very inappropriate moment. Thanks! -
After experimenting further, it seems that it is only happening to certain paths in new documents (created after the update) and using paths copy and pasted from older documents. So yes, I can reproduce this bug but only with specific criteria.. Its odd but I can't seem to find any other factors that are different. For now, I've reinstalled the last version which is functioning perfectly fine, send to back/bring to front both working as intended.

I test this with 29.4 and Windows 10, and both methods seem to work for me...
Aidan, can you always reproduce this? In a new document as well, with simplest objects? -
I wonder if this is still an issue in the latest versions of Illustrator?

Steps taken (actual result):
- Line up a square shape and an image (one on top of the other)
- Try to use shortcut to bring the image to the front (cmd + shift + close bracket)
- Nothing happens
- Then try to do this move manually (go to Object > Arrange > Bring to Front)
- Still nothing happensExpected result: Image to shift to sit in front of the square shape
Same happens for any of the other Arrange commands (Bring forward, Send Backward, Send to Back)
