Verification takes too long
I just went to open an Illustrator file and it decided it need to verify Illustrator. It just took 25 minutes for the verification progress bar to complete before it even began to open the program. This is way too long when you’re under a deadline or even just trying to run a business. What a waste of time. I’ve had the same issue with Photoshop and InDesign as well when CC or the computer (I don’t know which) decides it needs to verify the program. Extraordinarily frustrating and embarrassing when working with a client.
How can the verification time be shortened please?

It's just happening again now. Have attached a screenshot of the dialog.

Hi Avinash,
Thanks for your reply. Here are the details you requested:
I'm running Illustrator 29.5.1
MacOS is Monterey 12.7.6 (I'm at the limit of my updates for my Mac)
I have 100GB available of 1TBThis occures only occasionally. I haven't been able to spot a pattern as to when it happens.
Yes, when opening the Application itself.
I've noticed it for about the past year with all Adobe products.I will try to grab a screenshot of the verification dialog box next time, but for now I can tell you it just says 'Verifying Adobe Illustrator' and shows a progress bar. It's only a small, brief dialog box.
It's happening just when I launch the app, no particular files and it doesn't happen if the app is already open.
Hope this helps!

Hi Susie,
Thanks for reporting this verification issue - a 25-minute delay is definitely not acceptable and I understand how frustrating this must be for your workflow.
To help us investigate this further, could you please provide some additional details:
System Information:What version of Illustrator are you currently running?
What operating system and version (macOS/Windows)?
How much available storage space do you have on your system drive? When This Occurs:
Does this happen every time you launch Illustrator, or only occasionally?
Does it happen when opening the application itself, or when opening specific files?
Did this start happening after a recent update or system change?Verification Details:
What exactly does the verification dialog say? (A screenshot would be helpful)
Does it mention "verifying" or use other specific language?
Are you seeing this during the initial app launch or when opening .ai files? This information will help our engineering team identify the root cause and work on a solution. Thanks for your patience!
