My files are not saving
Whenever I save a file it says it was saved on my desktop, but when I go to find it later its not there, like it didnt save or never even existed. I was recently working on a few files and I saved them all, but when I opened the app again only five opened, more then 70% of my work was lost and I dont know why.

What format did you use to save these, .ai or .pdf?
What were the names of the files you are missing? (a screenshot would do).
Do you mean Recent in the Home Screen and/or in the File > Open Recent Files, or both?
What are your settings in Preferences > File Handling? Do you have or not the 'Save in Background' option enabled? -
I also looked on the "open recent files" and there are like five of the files I worked on and some are repeated like they saved twice but when I open the second file it says it doesnt exist
