BUG: Swatch color not changing with selection of different element.
When selecting individual elements in my .ai file, the swatch bar does not show the actual color. Instead, it shows the previously selected color.
Something changed - you used to be able to select an element and easily determine which color it was. This glitch is a major problem - as I'm trying to prep my files for print and a small error will be quite costly.
Instead, I have to double-click the "fill" color in the top of the swatch bar to open up the cmyk build

Yep, sure do.
And yeah, sometimes a simple restart irons these out... it’d be still nice to catch the tail of the bug. If it happens again, at least record it, please. -

I can't seem to replicate it now. Maybe my computer was feeling overworked and just needed a weekend to regroup. lolI'll reply again if I find the circumstance again

Amy, are you able to reproduce this in every file you try, or does it happen only with a specific project only?
Can you please show a video recording of this behavior, so it’s clear what you do exactly (there are so many ways to change a color of an object in Ai). Also please share the full specs of your current setup. The more data — the more chances the team would be able to recreate this. So far I’m not able to get it happen.
