Illustrator Layers Panel Object Thumbnails No Longer Update After Edits
In Illustrator, the object thumbnails in the Layers panel are no longer refreshing after changes are made to the artwork to match the new appearance. Because the preview remains outdated, it becomes harder to track changes and quickly identify the correct objects in complex files. This breaks a useful visual cue and makes the workflow less reliable and less efficient.

Will, does it happen in any file? can you reproduce this problem in a new document?
Does anything change if you toggle CPU Preview (not sure though if thumbnails in Layers depend on this...)?I recall there were similar problems, but bound to some specific conditions...
When I test this now, it works as it should (I do this on Windows 10 though). Maybe it’s a specific appearance only, or a type of an object? Please help to narrow it down.
