Type Area only flows right to left
I’ve tried all the offered fixes, they’re either not working or not there. It must be a bug!!

I cannot adjust text thread, it is grayed out, when I go to type area options for vertical type it only shows columns threading right to left. I have tried all the different language settings: East Asian, Indic, and neither. Nothing is working, almost a week I’ve spent wrestling with this, thinking it’s something I’m missing but I seem to have tried all everyone’s suggestions!
