1. Rasterize not working well on spot colors

   I used to work in Illustrator cc 2019 and rasterize images with spot colors don't have any problem. Now in new illustrator I have a BIG problem rasterizing images with spot colors. Please see attachments. And please solve this, I have to work in both Illustrators because of this bug.

2. Random bugs with extensive use of Transform Effect

   I happen to have linked files (typically PNG files) inside a group of objects.

   A Transform Effect duplicates the group.
   Effect > Distort & Transform > Transform
   Here, I typically set a certain number of horizontal and/or vertical move and a number of copies for the whole group including a linked PNG.

   (Actually, this is a way to bypass the issue of library symbols that cannot include linked files.)

   Every time I open the AI document, the original group is visible, the duplicate groups can be seen, but not the linked PNG inside the group, both in the original group and the dynamic duplicates.

   (If I export the document to PDF, the image is also hidden.)

   To make the PNG visible, I need first to either double-click the original group (until the image appears), or just move the group around.

   It doesn't happen with all linked PNGs inside duplicated groups, but if it happens to a PNG file, then it happens every time with this specific PNG in this specific group.

   The PNG files have nothing special, to my knowledge.
   They are stored on my hard drive (synchronized with Creative Cloud).
   They are usually at screen resolution, so not so big in file size.

   I've made a test. I took one of the documents having the issue, and saved it as a new AI file, after removing most of the artboards and contents, keeping only the ones with the duplicate group for testing purposes.
   When I open this test file again, the PNG is displayed properly right away.
   If I do the same (i.e. re-save the AI file), but without removing unnecessary artboards and contents, then the issue remains.
   It makes me think it probably depends on the document overall complexity.

   I have another such document, in which I make an extensive use of the Transform Effect, with groups duplicated across artboards. It also has 2 instances of the PNG issue. Actually, the whole document seems to have become sort of "corrupted" because of one of the duplicate groups, it seems (not even one of the buggy groups!). I cannot save the document anymore unless I disable the Transform Effect from the Appearance panel. (the group is duplicated 45 times, 9 horizontally & 5 vertically, and it's been working fine... until it didn't! no idea why... but it's really document-related).

   An Adobe Community Professional tried to replicate the issue, but he couldn't.

   Windows 10 Pro / Illustrator 23.1 & 24.0 / 64bits
   (the PNG bug seems stable across recent versions of AI)

3. Gradient, colouring and effect-error

   The operations weren't particularly complex, a shape won't change fill between gradient, colour or even empty. The appearance panel is empty, and still there's no possible to change or remove the fill. I tried adding a gaussian blur, after which the entire figure disappeared. I thought it might be a preview issue so I exported it, but it was gone there as well. I attach a screenshot. Right before it happened I tried adding a complex clipping mask (but undid it).

4. Expand appearance stopped working for offset path on illustrator 2020

   Sometimes there's no way to expand the offset path you created. Some other times it works, so I'm pretty sure it's a bug

5. Nothing happens when I double click my width tool

   When I double click my width tool to try and access my wrinkle tool nothing happens, I am currently trying to design a logo for a company in town, and would very much like the effect the wrinkle tool gives.

6. Free Distort doesn't apply to certain gradient strokes

   I was working on a type effect when I realized the Free Distort filter (found under Effect > Distort & Transform > Free Distort) doesn't apply when the selected object uses a stroke with a gradient that is applied along or across the stroke. Is this intentional? I hope it isn't since it doesn't seem intentional.

   Here's how I did it.
   Create a rectangle. Make sure it has a fill color. Then add a stroke and pick a gradient. Change the stroke style to be either the second or third option. Then apply the Free Distort filter to the object (not to the fill or stroke specifically) and distort the shape in any way. The fill gets distorted as expected, but the stroke stays the same. Only the first stroke option allows it to be distorted correctly with the fill.

   I've been able to recreate this on both of my Windows machines. One is Windows 7 and the other is Windows 10 and both are on the latest versions available.

   In the attached file, I have a sample set up where this happens. If the Free Distort filter is above the stroke effect, the effect works as intended, but not if it's under the stroke, so this definitely seems inconsistent.

7. Opening Graphic styles causes crashes of v23 (and previous versions)

   Crashing when graphic styles panel is opened.

   December 2018
   After your technicians shared the screen and saw this happened even with a blank canvas, I was promised this would be fixed soon.

   September 2019
   Graphic Styles STILL crashes.
   Others are also having problems.

   WHEN will this be fixed? ETA?

8. Appearance is not applied when opening a file

   Model Name: MacBook Pro

   Conditions for failure
   1. Illustrator Preferences / General [Show The Home Screen When No Documents Are Open] Put a check.
   2. Show Links Panel. Links Panel Options [Thumbnail Size] Select other than None.
   3. The Place image format is EPS.
   4. Open a file with the Home Screen displayed.

9. Shear in Transform Panel doesn't add numbers

   In the Transform Panel I use the mouse wheel to adjust the Shear of an object but it does not show the degrees that it is moving. The object does adjust but the panel only reports 0°. As I scroll with the mouse wheel I can see the number flickering. When I click on the selection arrow I can select a number but that only adds to the number of degrees instead of telling me how many degrees I have adjusted it. I have attached a short video where I am adjusting the shear using the mouse wheel

10. Gaussian Blur Bug

    When applying gaussian blur to a shape, the effect looks "pixely" in various zoom percentages. The screenshot shows 100% and it does not look right. If I zoom in to 150% it looks fine, but at 200% it looks strange again. This did not happen in CC 2018.

    Can we get this fixed? Thanks!

11. Zoom Blur gets cutoff.

    At high amounts, the blur effect from zoom blur gets cut off (specifically with text, whether the text is rasterized or not. I haven't tested other shapes). It's related to the "add x amount of space around objects" setting (though no number actually fixes it. It is easy to see when you compare the effect in Illustrator to the effect in Photoshop.

    You guys really need to work on Illustrator's effect system. It's the one thing no other vector app has, but some things don't work or aren't effective because we have less control than we do in Photoshop.

    P.S. I also can't change the color of the Neon Glow effect in Effect Gallery.

12. Pucker bug

    The pucker creates white triangles at the bottom of the artwork. It seems to export to jpg as it is supposed to, but the vector artwork displays incorrectly.

13. Drop Shadow modal will not load, for new or existing shadows, crashes Illustrator CC 23.0.2

    Drop Shadow menu will not load upon trying to apply a new drop shadow, or edit existing drop shadows. Software drops to 0% CPU, and software will not respond to any inputs. requiring me to close Illustrator via Task Manager.

15. Symbols | Mapping stroke to 3D-Model will distort stroke

    Hi together,

    recently I came accross a mapping bug with a stroke ( width 0.2 Pt ) applied to a waving flag shape used in a symbol that was mapped to a 3D model.

    Workarounds like expanding the stroke and working with an extra path element stacked behind the flag shape did not help.

    The only workaround that will help is rendering the elements to an image and implement the placed and not linked image with the symbol for mapping. A workaround that I do not like at all because my vector objects will be gone.

    All test files attached as a zip file that I renamed to *.txt because Illustrator Feedback will not allow to attach zip files. Thanks for that hack go to Peter Kahrel who recently did this with a bug report on Adobe InDesign Uservoice!

    So if you want to unzip the provided file first RENAME it with suffix *.zip. Thanks.

    All tests done with German Adobe Illustrator CC 2019 version 23.0.2 on Windows 10. Some tests on the same machine with German Illustrator CS6 where I already can see the same issues.

17. 3D Extrude and Bevel - Rough color transitions

    The 3D extrude and bevel doesn't seem to handle transitions between curved surfaces and straight surfaces well. There's a very rough color transition in the resulting 3D render where one would expect a smooth transition. See attached for an example.

19. Structure fillings changing back to standard with copy and paste

    when copying a dawing filled with structures (textile) – it changes fillings after copied and pasted. thats new and its hyjacking my daily work ; ) ... now I have to "handfill" the right structures in new copies ; ) ... pleeeeeease bug-fix : )

20. Stroke weight reverts to previous scale when embedding after rotating a graphic.

    I had an linked .pdf at 10% scale, which I rotated 90 degrees, then scaled up by 1000%, then I embedded the file. The strokes in the artwork reverted back to 10% size. If I repeat the procedure, but do not rotate the file first, then the stoke retains the enlarged size.
