An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedUnfortunately, I also continue to experience this bounding box rotating bug @Jason Burnett. It's definitely got something to do with the Windows Scale and Layout set to 200% on a 4k screen (with 1080p monitors attached). If I try to manually resize a small object, illustrator rotates it instead. Super annoying.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commented@kayla, you're right :) thanks!
An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commented@adobe, one thing I noticed is that the issue might simply be that the cursor is showing the wrong UI element (showing the resize cursor when it is actually in rotate mode). The point at which the cursor switches between rotate and scale in the UI is not reflecting the actual function of the tool.
I do hope you address this BUG soon. I mean, I love new features, but I prefer tools that work as intended.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedHi Vern, thanks for your tip :)
unfortunately, this does not actually address the issue. In my case, I WANT to use the bounding box and resize something, but when I click, the object rotates (when there was absolutely no indication that this would happen). See the video I posted 10 or 15 comments ago.@kayla, unfortunately expanding the object would severely limit my workflow. I mean, what's the point of having adjustable rounded corners if you have to expand them? In any case, the weird rotation thing happens to simple boxes without rounded corners.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedHow many of you are using multiple monitors with different resolutions and a "Scale and Layout" other than 100%
In my case, I have a 4k laptop screen with two 1920x1080 displays on either side. The Laptop screen is set to 200% scaling.
This issue seems to only happen to me on the 4k laptop screen when the two 1080 screens are connected to the laptop.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedTo the other people who posted on this bug, I'm curious to know if you still experience it or if you found a work-around? Also, are any of you using High DPI or 4k UHD displays? My main laptop screen is UHD 3840x2160 with the "Scale and Layout" set to 200%.
I have two additional monitors that are not high-dpi which are 1920x1080.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedIt would be great if I could hit a single hot-key to fully frame a selected object on my screen. Similar to how some 3D packages where you can hit the letter "F" and it fills the screen with whatever is selected.

An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedI agree with this request! This is similar to https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/35694799-make-toggle-button-for-object-selection-by-path-o
An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedI agree 100%, at the very least, it would be nice to have a shortcut key to toggle "Object Selection by Path Only" on and off.

Hi friends! I have some great news for your today. Rotate View (Canvas) feature is available in Illustrator 25.3 (Desktop) now. Thank you all for your feedback which helped us shape up this feature.
An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedHello, thank you for adding me to the 25.3 Beta! The functionality is excellent!
I notice it seems to really take advantage of the GPU as it is super smooth, while rotating the view using the CPU is very sluggish.
Here are a things I think are missing:
- Double-Clicking the Rotate View tool icon should reset the view
- Shift-Click during rotation should Hard-Stop at rotation 45 degree increments
- Pressing "Enter" should bring up dialog box where we can set specific angle for the rotation.Otherwise, it's great. I'm loving it so far!
An error occurred while saving the comment Tony commentedSimilar to other folks, I downloaded the Beta available in Creative Cloud app and it is version 24.3 (24.3 52@205569 (64-Bit))
Rotate View does not seem to be an option. Is the newest beta build only available to certain users?

We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3
You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.

Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!
Dear Illustrator Community,
I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.
While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.
Our Approach
We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.
It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…
