As mentioned before, this got shipped into the main (GA) build, but the development is not completed. The team has been gathering all the user feedback and intends to address it.
Here are several relevant entries you can upvote.
Bug reports:
- Spots and Globals are converted into process colors when included into Swatch Info
- Swatches Info doesn’t work for the only swatch selected
- Swatch Info renders a saved tint as yet another copy of the main global color
- The default text color in Swatches Info is rich RGB black when used in a CMYK document
- Tabs in Swatch Info text are made with spaces instead of actual tabs
- Bottom margins for labels are too small for Swatch Info objects in the column view (with no card backgrounds)

Having a layer above the layer with hyperlinks now works as expected in Beta 30.0.0.114

Just tried the latest Beta and Prerelease versions, problem is solved in those versions.

There is a problem with hyperlinks from the Attributes panel when there is a layer above the objects that contain hyperlinks.
Attached 2 files, open them in Illustrator to see the difference.
0_Hyperlinks with layer on top.pdf is the non working one.
The only difference is the working one (1_Hyperlinks with layer at bottom) is the empty top layer, it is moved below the layer with links.

Use 'Save a copy' command instead of 'Save as', it does exactly what you want.

Works as expected in Beta 30.0.0.114.
Please test the fix to make sure it’s ready to be pushed into the general build.

Beta 30.0 104 gives me the message: "Can't define a new pattern from the current art."
Click OK and try it again and it works. Try it in a new file and it works. Close the beta and try it later, stops working. Click OK and try it again and it works. and so on.Ton supported this idea ·

Seems to work as expected in Beta 30.0.0.72 — moving an object now works as expected. Please try to update and verify if it’s safe to be pushed into General build

It can come back, as I just noticed, had to reset the prefs again.

Hi Paula, if you have updated and all your Preferences settings are the way you like them, you can save them using Edit > My Settings > Export Settings... If the problem occurs again, you can easily go back to the saved settings with Edit > My Settings > Import Settings...

Hi Paula, I am currently on 29.7.1 on Sonoma 14.7.7

Paula, which version are you currently using? For me it has not come back since resetting preferences.

@Geny, I thought I was kidding myself too, it is normally something I recommend when thing behave weird. Resetting worked for me in a beta version. Then I tried the latest regular version which still had the problem, resetting prefs fixed it. Then I tried downloading the latest Prerelease version, still problems, resetting Prefs fixed them.

Today I did go to Settings > Preferences and clicked the Reset Preferences button. Somehow this fixed the problem with the disappearing images for me. Can someone else try this too?

Nothing fixed unfortunately in Beta 29.6.142

Drag and drop should work, but saving and using Place is currently the safer workflow.

I absolutely agree. Saving your files in a location that does not get included in a backup when you backup your machine is dangerous. Especially when you sometimes can get the message that you are not allowed to open the file (you just created) and have to contact the owner (yourself). Files saved in the cloud are hard to download, sometimes only one and in other places a maximum of 10 at the same time. Adobe had a good system with creative cloud files, you saved them locally and they got versioned and synced to the cloud and you decided to save them or not. You had total control over your own files. So not having the option to set your default file location is wrong.

Reported as fully fixed in general 29.8 build.
If it’s still broken for you — please comment.

No, it is just not everywhere available at the same time.

It has the focus on the increment field, but you have to hit Enter 2x to exit the dialog. Used to be 1x

As noted in the core report, the fix available in Prerelease build now, starting with 29.8. Preferences should no longer change some specific values when the Search field has anything in it. The next general build should have this fix included.

I agree with Egor, it can be easily reproduced by goin to preferences, hit a letter, hit OK to close the preferences. The units turn to pt, the Type settings become minimal.

My defaults are:
Size/Leading: 2 pt
Tracking: 20/1000 em
Baseline Shift: 2 pt
I did not check them when I had the problem, this is after resetting Preferences. I'll check when the problem returns.Ton supported this idea ·

Could be Mac specific, that's what we are using. But did you check in Preferences "Move Locked and Hidden Artwork with Artboard" ?
