An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedAs Thar Lynn Oo commented, this happens during drag and drop. The document color profile will be changed and the appearance of the objects too. This cannot be undone.
Ton supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedThis is still happening when, as Thar Lynn Oo noticed in this thread, drag and drop is used from Photoshop to Illustrator , the document color profile will be changed to that of the image.
You cannot undo this profile change And the appearance of all the colors will change. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedLooks like the greyscale image when embedded is converted to RGB in the PDF.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedBecause a bug has only 2 votes, it should not be ignored. 2024 still the same problem.

Saving custom presets is now available in BETA starting V28.6.578.
With this new change, you can now configure your own document preset and save it for later use. To access this functionality, configure your preset from the File > New dialog (only for the modern one, the legacy dialog don’t provide it) and click the Save Preset button next to the document’s name in the top right corner of the dialog.
Your custom preset is now saved and accessible from the 'Saved' category.
Please try out this feature, so that if there are any feedback from you, we can resolve them and make this feature available to everyone.

The issue is believed to be fixed with Photoshop release 25.7.
Please test it and comment back if it now works.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedYes, drag and drop works now, but the changing of the Illustrator Document Color Profile when the Photoshop image has a different one is not fixed.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedSame for Copy/Paste object with Gradient from InDesign to Illustrator. A gradient with a 100/0/0/0 stop does not copy/paste, but when this stop has 100/1/1/1 it will.

An error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedThe idea behind large canvas is that you can create at large artboard sizes without using a scale factor.
There is only a warning triangle when you create a large document that exceeds the default canvas size limit. You cannot turn it off once created :-(
see https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/large-sized-artwork.htmlAn error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedAn error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedAn error occurred while saving the comment Ton commentedLarge Canvas documents resample images 10x more than requested.
A 512 ppi image is cropped with a 300 ppi resolution. The resolution shows as 5120 ppi. After entering 300 and hitting Apply, the resolution becomes 30 ppi.
Saving a PDF with compression, Bicubic Downsampling to 300 ppi reduce the resolution to 30 ppi.
You cannot resample to 300 ppi, when you enter 3000 ppi instead of 300, you get 2400, which results in 240 ppi.
