81 votesAccording to Abhishek Rao here, disabling 'Export in Background' in Preferences > File Handling helps to workaround the problem (until the actual fix). Make sure you enable 'Art Optimized (Supersampling)' as an anti-aliasing option in Export for Screens settings as well.

According to Abhishek Rao in the pinned reply, turning off Preferences > File Handling > Export in Background solves the problem. And it does for me.

In 28.6
Slightly rotated an image
Export for Screens > JPEG 100 Art Optimized.
They are horribly jagged and the Art Optimized setting is ignored. Embedded as well as Linked.Ton supported this idea ·

The fix is available in both Beta 27.9 9 and Prerelease 29.6 191 builds. Please try to test it and comment back if it now behaves as expected

Seems like it’s been fixed and doesn’t happen anymore in the latest builds. Please check if it works for you and comment back if it fails still

Looks fixed in the current version 29.5.1 (and maybe since a few versions).

Good idea to merge these.

Yes, Egor, I wonder how this was introduced. Both export as jpeg and dynamic symbols have been around for a long time.

Should work in Beta 29.6.142 (oddly displayed as build 9999 in CCD). Please test!

Following the steps in this post PDF, it does not seem fixed in beta 29.6.156.

Can confirm that this is not solved.
Hope that another conversion problem (Grey becomes RGB) will be solved when this is fixed: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/41260390-embedded-grayscale-image-in-rgb-document-becomes-tTon supported this idea ·

Yes, the EPS previews stopped working when Apple stopped using the PSNormalizer. The Normalizer can be compared to Adobe Acrobat Distiller. It is still licensed by Adobe to printer manufacturers to incorporate the conversion from PostScript to PDF in their PDF workflows. Apple used a limited version in its Operating System and apps like Preview used it to convert PostScript and EPS (Encapsulated PostScript) to PDF.

The team says it’s fixed in Prerelease build 29.6.191.
The fix is now scheduled to be pushed into the upcoming general release. If you are a part of the PR program, please check if it works.

in version 29.5 anchor point cannot be moved with Direct Selection Tool
If a direct selected point is off the Grid and Smart Guides and Snap to Grid are both On, the point cannot be moved.
If a point is on a grid and Smart Guides and Snap to Grid are On, the point can be moved and snaps to the grid. If a point is off the grid with Smart Guides Off and Snap to Grid On, the point can be moved and snaps to the grid.
There was no problem in a previous 2024 version.

Asset export dialog does not have this option to export each file as a separate file it only has option on all artboards in one file, range of artboards or selected artboards in the dialog or the whole of document into one pdf file.
I am moving this request as a new feature requestAn error occurred while saving the comment Ton commented
The reason that all artboards are saved in the PDF is because the option to Preserve Illustrator Editing is checked in the PDF Preset.
In Edit > Adobe PDF Presets, create a new one based on the settings you like and turn Off Illustrator Editing capabilities.
In Export for Screens select that preset when exporting PDFs. -

@Léandre, you are the creator of a similar discussion, and it is not entirely solved. Guides are showing now when moved, but no fill/stroke objects disappear unless they are shapes and moved by grabbing their center point.

Cmd or Ctrl E toggles between GPU and CPU Preview.

@janith-lekamwasam You can also create a layer for the guides and set this layer only to outline, so you don't have to switch.
