An error occurred while saving the comment Alicia, to be fair — this thing with the Color panel popping is with us since long ago. I just tested if it behaves the same in Illustrator 10, from 2001 — same exact behavior. So this definitely does not get worse :) it just stays unattended, which is not cool.
But at the same time — why don’t you vote?! You leave a comment, but you don’t add a vote to this one. Why?An error occurred while saving the comment I use it. So 'nobody' is an exaggeration :)
An option to not pop it when you click a fill or a stroke in the toolbox (you do click these? I thought NOBODY click them). Jokes aside, how and when does it pop for you? -

This feature is now added into the most recent version 28.3.
Please try it when it gets available and comment back if it works for you as expected.

An error occurred while saving the comment Feels like a job for a script, rather than a default function...
Can you share an example of the format you want to get these values in? -

An error occurred while saving the comment Charlotte, is this still an issue for you?
It looks like the ruler origin does not match the position of the artboard, and you are now in the Global Rulers mode. This can happen because of many reasons, and it’s quite easy to fix.
Make sure you have you rulers enabled (View > Rulers > Show Rulers), make sure you have them in global mode (View > Rulers > Change to Global Rulers), and then double-click the intersection of rulers in the top left corner of your canvas viewport to reset it.
You can read more about this here: https://helpx.adobe.com/illustrator/using/rulers-grids-guides-crop-marks.htmlPlease reply back if it works for you (or not). Sorry for the late reply also.

Adobe. Make It an Experience. An error occurred while saving the comment There are separate requests to increase the size of different UI elements:
1. Rulers: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/31654114
2. Artboard captions: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/33253573
There is no separate request about artboard handles though... I suggest creating a new request for it or commenting also in the #2 about it. -

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark, there is a separate request to 'flatten' clipping groups (but better than Pathfinder Merge):
http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657/suggestions/35456389But the thing you request is somewhat different, you want to just remove those object that are not visible within the mask, correct? To tidy up, to remove unneeded clipped objects? Can you please make it a separate feature request?

Voted. This should be reconsidered. -

An error occurred while saving the comment AJ, there is a separate large UV entry about resetting workspaces on update:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/34264087-preferences-reset-after-each-cc-updateAn error occurred while saving the comment I have no idea why all formats in Export for Screens have Text Optimized settings as a default option.
I can only guess the team A) had to pick something, and they compared the average output of both methods and chose the one that gives better results, or B) got mistaken, since Art Optimized is what Ai uses in every other place we can choose from these two.
Will try to learn more.An error occurred while saving the comment AJ, please open Export for Screens dialog, then press the gear button to open the Format Settings dialog, make sure you have ONG selected in the left column, and check if you have Art Optimized selected for Anti-Aliasing. If it was Type Optimized, export a PNG once more and compare the results.
An error occurred while saving the comment It’s hard to compare images, when you provide only one image of two :)
Can you please share also the original one and the image you get using Save for Web?Also actually there is a larger report about the quality of the Export for Screens method, here:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447-illustrator-desktop-bugs/suggestions/34636129-poor-quality-images-from-export-for-screens
and also this one as well:
https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/33851182-export-for-screen-quality-of-export
Do you think this is the same problem?
