Hi Everyone,
This functionality is available in our latest release build – 27.6.1.
Color Model selection for JPG is available in Export For Screens -> Advanced settings. Illustrator will allow you to choose - RGB, CMYK or Grayscale color model.
What's New in the release - https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new.html

An error occurred while saving the comment Lincoln Wolf commentedI agree. Many tools and plugins allow you to change how something works while keeping the mouse button down. For example: While using the pen tool, you can move the current node by holding the space bar.
It would be great if I could select an object, then while using the scale tool I start to click and drag, and while I'm still dragging I press spacebar (or some other key) to toggle between scaling the stroke/effects.

The intended way of setting a default font is to edit document profiles. These files are located in folders like 'C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 2023\Support Files\Required\New Document Profiles\[language]\' on Windows and 'Macintosh HD > Applications ▸ Adobe Illustrator 2020 > Support Files > New Document Profiles > [language]' on Macs.
Make a copy of the one you want to use someplace else, open it in Illustrator, make your changes, replace the original and then use it when creating a new file.
There are many tutorials on the web about managing these, like this one: https://productivista.com/new-document-profiles-saves-your-default-settings/
However, this way indeed is not the most discoverable. Please continue to vote and leave comments if you want this to be improved.

The latest Beta build 29.0.0.9 now allows us to create a gradient from selected swatches, using two ways:
- Select swatches you need (use Cmd/Ctrl to select several) and drag-n-drop them onto the gradient strip in Gradient panel.
- Select swatches you need and choose the new 'Gradient from Swatches Selection' command from the Swatches panel’s flyout menu.
In both cases new gradient stops will be spread uniformly, using the current order of swatches in the panel (not the order of selection).
If you have artwork selected in the document while doing this, the gradient will be automatically applied to it.
Please try the feature and comment back.

The most recent version finally has the Object > Distribute menu added.
Now both Align and Distribute commands can be accessed via menu and have assigned keyboards shortcuts to them.
The order of the commands though seemingly matches the one the panel has: horizontal first for Align and vertical first for Distribute. If you find this odd and want to change it — vote here: https://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/333657-illustrator-desktop-feature-requests/suggestions/45855823-sync-the-order-of-align-and-distribute-menu-comman
Also, Align To and Distribute Spacing commands are still missing in top menus, so please keep voting here to make them added too.

The latest Beta 28.8.0.37 now has this function back.
You can enable the mode using a button in Control Panel or in Properties, with the Artboard tool picked.
The option automatically enables Scale Strokes & Effects option temporarily.
As always, you can hold Shift to resize proportionally.
Please test it and comment back!

We have passed this request along to Grammarly and that while Grammarly thought it would be useful, they’re unable to prioritize it at this time.

Starting from the February 2024 release, version 28.3, this option is no longer enabled by default for new documents. If you had hyphenation enabled in an existing document, Ai will respect this.

I am happy to share that ‘Auto spell-check’ feature has been shipped in the latest version of Illustrator. Here is how to enable/disable it in the latest release : https://helpx.adobe.com/in/illustrator/using/whats-new/2020.html#spellcheck
