Here are a few cases where Effect -> Pixelate -> Color halftone cannot solve the problem:
    1) Sending a file from illustrator and having it randomly render inaccurately in a PDF file in a RIP system when it's sent to press without it being flattened.
    2) Using an enlarged halftone pattern as the basis for a knockout or mask.
    3) Using a gradient halftone as the foundation of a white overprint on transparent graphic vinyls and acrylic.
    4) Being able to resize the halftone to a specific LPI or density without modifying it in the appearance tab and guessing or mathing out the correct size setting. This can get entirely infeasible with Freeform Gradient and raster images when working with oversize retail graphics and vehicle wrap designs.
    5) Being able to use the halftone as a Z Map or cut path control for several types of commercial production machines.
    6) Assigning a color managed Spot Color that matches brand graphics.

There are others, this is just six from design projects in the last two months.

We are excited to announce that this feature is now available in all the public builds starting V29.1.

The new 'Create swatch info' helps you share color information accurately with others by including color codes.

To use this, just select the colors from the swatch panel and click on 'Create swatch info' in the menu options.

You can customise the size, layout, color codes etc.

Please try out this feature and let us know what you think!

Just to clarify 'Completed' doesn't means the UV is 'Closed', it simply means the UV is available publicly in the GA builds. The UserVoice platform doesn't allow us to have a intermediate status hence the confusion.

We are currently gathering all the user feedbacks and working on a plan to address them.

    Thanks for your understanding.

I think sharing this information is great, but I need to print them as well. I'm constantly finding myself having to create swatch chips for the colors I'm using. Being able to automatically label the HEX#, RGB values, CMYK values, LaB values or Spoi Color Name would be the ideal as well.

We have done further updates to Dimension tool with recently released version - 28.3

You can create and use your custom scale for dimension, hide or show units on dimensions and dimensions are now sticky to the object - they transform as well when you transform the object.

    Adobe Illustrator's Multithreading Journey Begins!

    Dear Illustrator Community,

I'm thrilled to announce that we've embarked on an exciting journey to bring multithreading capabilities to Adobe Illustrator. This significant undertaking will enhance performance and responsiveness across various aspects of the application.

While this is a complex process that will take some time to fully implement, I wanted to share our progress so far.

    Our Approach

We've strategically begun by focusing on the most computationally intensive operations—those that typically take more time and block the main thread, resulting in slower response times while you work. By moving these operations to separate threads, we aim to significantly improve your overall experience with Illustrator.

It's important to note that you may see more noticeable impact in some areas than others initially. However, we want to assure you that this is just the beginning, and we will continue this journey to bring improvements across…

We have released the support for Gradient swatches in CC library with our latest release - v29.3

You can select the gradient swatch in swatches panel and add it to CC Library through the button on the bottom bar in the panel. You can also select any object which has gradient applied and add that gradient to CC Library through Add Elements from the Libraries panel and choose Fill Gradient from the drop-down menu.

Please update to this version from your Creative Cloud Desktop application and let us know your feedback.
