An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Nicoll commentedYeah... I do wonder if Adobe likes to keep things **** for the sake of all those independent devs who can make an income out of patching in obvious, necessary functionality.
Don't get me wrong, I love my big stack of extensions, plugins and scripts, but some things really should come as standard...

The team again asks for help with this issue, since there are not specific steps they can try to reproduce it — the nature of the bug is random.
If you are a Windows user, the next time you spot a missing or a duplicated number in Artboards panel, please follow these instructions below.
1. Open Task Manager
2. In Details tab, locate 'Illustrator.exe'
3. Right click it and choose 'Create dump file'
4. Wait until the dumping process is complete and click 'Open file location' button
5. Find 'Illustrator.dmp' (sorting files by date helps) and compress it with any archiving utility
6. Upload the archive to a file hosting service of your choice and sent the link for download to sharewithai@adobe.com. Please use the subject 'Artboards numbering bug dump'
This will help provide necessary clues to locate the source of the problem. If you are a Mac user —…

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Nicoll commentedYes! We have a library of modular objects, some of which have very deep group hierarchies. This would save some RSI.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Nicoll commentedThe irritation for me is not being able to reset the bounding box, which is what I need to make certain transformations. To kill it, I have to manually edit a vertex which I can’t even automate. So yeah.
I don't personally mind that it's created as a live shape - as long as I have a quick and easy way to change it back to regular path behaviour.

An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Nicoll commentedEgor - you're right! I grabbed the script, it's nice.
But yeah, it shouldn't be necessary.
An error occurred while saving the comment Mark Nicoll commentedThis this this! I'm always needing shortcuts for things that can't be shortcutted or even recorded in actions.
Right now, I'm wanting a shortcut for reversing stroke direction. That can't be made into a shortcut so I try recording an action. It doesn't pick up selecting alternate ends of the path as an action, so I try "swap start and end arrowheads". That picks up the entire stroke appearance and applies it every time I run the action, so that's no good.
So yeah... assignable keyboard shortcuts for everything would be great.

Areed, although for now I'd at least settle for being able to create, edit and delete graphic styles in extendscript. Then we'd be able to script our way out of the awkward mess graphic styles are currently in.
