Hi,
If the issue is still reproducible with AI 23.0.2 then please get in touch with us at any of the other support channels – helpx.adobe.com/support.html . Since this is not a generic issue that we can reproduce at our end, we will need someone to look into your machine to figure out what is going on here.

It seems like several problems got mixed in the comments.
1. Guides made of single anchors (displayed as <Guide> in Layers) are displayed correctly in the latest versions of Ai when View > Guides > Show Guides is enabled (although they are rather small).
2. Illustrator does not draw centerpoints for ellipses while moving then in GPU mode — a know problem, reported separately here: http://illustrator.uservoice.com/forums/601447/suggestions/39740689
Please upvote it if you want to see edges while moving.
3. Show Edges option gets occasionally disabled — gets fixed with Cmd/Ctrl + H. Edges still won’t be drawn when GPU Performance and Real-Time Drawing and Editing options are enabled in Preferences > Performance, only when you switch to CPU mode.
If your case is nothing like this — please comment and share details on the problem, with steps and screenshots or videos.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ashutosh Gupta (Illustrator Team) commentedHi Oz,
What I can understand from your post is : you are placing stray anchor points at the center of the group to have existence of center point .Earlier x was showing on hovering , but now it is not getting showing.
Am I right ?Please open attributes panel ( Windows -> Attributes ) . Click Show All from the flyout menu to expand the panel . Observe if the show center option is not enabled . Please enable it.
Hope it would help you.If it doesn't help you. Please zip and send illustrator preferences folder to us @ ashgupt@adobe.com analyze ( "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Illustrator 23 Settings" ).
Thanks and Regards

You can switch off the bounding box and smart widgets by pressing shortcut Cmd + Shift + B and can use the drawing tools as legacy tools.
You can also select View→Hide bounding box for the same. For reverting back to current state again press the same shortcut or select View → Show bounding box
Hope this would help achieving your workflow.

We are not hearing any more comments on this thread. If you still run into this problem due to Dictation software, please reach out to Support.
An error occurred while saving the comment Ashutosh Gupta (Illustrator Team) commentedHi Everyone,
We apologize for the issue. Some of you mentioned that issue resolved by turning off Dictation settings, but it didn't worked for you. We need help to reproduce this issue in-house.
• Can you please reply with some video of what and how you met the issue?
• Also provide your system info, if it is not “Mac OS High Sierra on Macbook Pro 2016, touch bar, 2.9GHz Intel core i7, 16GB 2133MHz LPDDR3”
• Mention version and subversion of MAC OS with issue. For eg. 10.13.3
• Does putting your fingers completely off the trackpad work fine i.e. click/tap released ?
• Are you having the same behavior with pen tool while creating anchors. Can you please try out and reply? Thanks for your support

With version 22.1 there is feature preference added for anchor point and handle size under "Anchor Points, Handle, and Bounding Box display".
You can update to latest version of Illustrator to use the feature.

We have tried to fix the issue in the current release. Please update Illustrator using Adobe Creative Cloud application to the latest build for version Illustrator CC 22.1.
Please refer to our knowledge base FAQ – https://illustrator.uservoice.com/knowledgebase/articles/1844590 if you face difficulty in the update.

Adobe. Make It an Experience.PS: We are only referring to the issue that got introduced in CC 2018. As I can see there were few workflows that were existing even in older releases. Please log a separate request for it so that we all can track it better
An error occurred while saving the comment Ashutosh Gupta (Illustrator Team) commentedHi all,
We are working on it. Any object with width or height equal to or greater than 16383 pt , on moving with keyboard arrow keys or mouse, throws string "Can't move the objects. The requested transformation would make the objects too large".
We welcome, if you can provide some set of actions and/or the file, with which you are getting issue.
We have also sent individual mails to all the participants, who commented in this bug. Also, please let us know if you are getting some different string appended with "Can't move the objects", while drawing within canvas area.
Note:
If you are moving objects ( or the group of objects) away the canvas area, please ensure that you don't have guides present in the group , or any hidden object that is being moved away the canvas while transformation.
It will throw string "Can't move the string. The requested transformation would make some objects fall completely off the drawing area". This will be expected.Regards

It is now obvious the issue was not fixed fully. The developers are aware of it now. Let’s hope it will be fixed soon enough.
If you have a solid order of steps which reproduce this behavior, share them in comments, because only some machines are affected. Please help the team to isolate it.

Are you using Default Tool Panel or Custom Tool Panel. This you can check from Windows -> Tools. If default is checked then you are having default tool panel and this is a bug .
But, if you are using Custom Tool Panel, then this behavior is expected.
Thanks and Regards

You would need to convert rectangle to path ( Object -> Shape -> Expand Shape ) , to enable Reset Bounding box.You can also assign custom shortcut using Edit -> Keyboard Shortcut. Rectangle, Ellipse, Polygon are live shapes and they do not posses Reset Bounding Box functionality.
Thanks and Regards

An error occurred while saving the comment Ashutosh Gupta (Illustrator Team) commentedHi Laurence ,
Issue is reproducible with us and will look into it.
You are needed to select the multiple corner points with Shift + Click and double click to open corner dialog box to effectively do all operations.
When no corner points are selected , operation should impact only corner point double clicked to open corner dialog

A sharp point is drawn with only click using pen tool. A pen tool with slight drag flattens.
Workaround for the problem . Select all the anchors with problem using direct selection tool with marquee selection or shift click anchor points , and click "Convert selected anchor points to corner" button present in properties panel / control panel.
Thanks and Regards
