A reboot helped to fix the problem.

An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Shane commentedWhen I use command-H to hide edges, the entire program hides. I created my own shortcut to hide Illustrator. I need "command-H" to work properly and hide the edges please. This is very annoying. The problem began upon this last update.

In the latest release this search filed is gone, and it now has a button instead. Most probably it does solve the problem. Please comment back if it does not.

I am happy to share that we have fixed this bug in our latest release – 24.1.1 for Win and 24.1 for Mac which is available worldwide now.
Going forward, our goal is to fix as many top User-Voice bugs as possible and as frequently as possible. Given the nature of the fixes, some of the bugs will take a longer time to fix, but we are on it.
You can update to the latest release using Creative Cloud desktop App: https://helpx.adobe.com/in/creative-cloud/help/creative-cloud-updates.html
Thank you for all the feedback. Keep it coming!
Shane supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Shane commentedSince the new update for Illustrator, I am unable to use the shortcut to make a new folder when I'm saving a file. I have to physically click on the "new folder" button instead of being able to use "command-shift-N." I know it's a simple thing but it slows down progress. Whenever we get updates, some feature that has ALWAYS worked doesn't anymore. The cloud based software is terrible. I have had more bugs and issues ever since we have been FORCED to get on the Creative Cloud. It seems Adobe is too quick to throw out new/updated software without working out the bugs first.

Hi,
Thanks for the information provided to the Illustrator team.
We are able to reproduce this issue at our end and the engineering team is currently isolating this issue further to get to the root cause. With Best Regards,
Illustrator TeamAn error occurred while saving the comment Shane commentedI am now experiencing the joy (total sarcasm!) of losing the functionality of the space bar hand tool. WTF?! Adobe! Ever since Adobe had the brilliant (more sarcasm) idea of moving to a subscription plan to use the software, I have encountered more bugs/issues on a regular basis than I ever have before. But this one is the worst! You have taken away one of the MAIN functions that I've used since I began working in Illustrator over 20 years ago. Get your **** together Adobe and fix this ASAP!!! I'm not paying for your software to have it work sometimes!

Adobe. Make It an Experience. An error occurred while saving the comment Shane commentedFinally! This fix seems to be working completely for me. I hope the same for the rest of you.
Shane supported this idea ·An error occurred while saving the comment Shane commentedWhy can't Adobe go back to ANY other version of Illustrator and use that info to fix the align to artboard issue. EVERY other version has worked. This is really slowing down work progress. FIX IT NOW!!!

An error occurred while saving the comment Shane commented"h" is correct. I tried the same thing and it worked. File>New and in that window change your units to inches and they will remain on any new document you open in the future. Hey Adobe! How about sending some love for the people fixing your mistakes!

A reboot did not fix the problem for me. The only way I can hide edges is to physically click on it in the menu. The shortcut still hides the entire program.
